Trump doesn’t want a Cruz endorsement. “Ted, stay home”.
Cruz was then put on the hot seat at a Texas delegation breakfast Thursday morning where some of his constituents angrily pressed him over his refusal to back Trump.

Trump said the administration of President Barack Obama has been weak on crime.
“I am not in the habit of supporting people who attack my wife and attack my father”, Cruz said. NY billionaire Donald Trump officially accepted the presidential nomination of the U.S. Republican Party Thursday night on the final day of the Republican National Convention.
Eric Trump, the candidate’s son, called Cruz’s speech “classless”.
Trump repeatedly mocked Cruz throughout the campaign as “Lyin’ Ted”.
Trump prepared for his big night amid another flap over his commitment to USA military alliances, including North Atlantic Treaty Organisation.
Cruz drew a building full of boos – led by NY delegates sitting at the front – when he told delegates to “vote their conscience”. He congratulates you on a victory. Trump predicted Cruz would never mount a serious campaign for president and said that if he does, “maybe I’ll start a super PAC” to attack him.
Throughout the year, there have been rumblings of dissent at the convention or trouble-makers who would try to deny Trump’s candidacy. According to various fact-checks, the newly minted Republican nominee for president frequently used facts that were misleading, inflated, or in some cases just plain false. “I think it’s the best thing he’s got going and his kids if you want to know the truth”, Trump said.
As they streamed out of the Quicken Loans Arena after Trump’s speech, Texas delegates were largely split on whether they were leaving Cleveland more unified than when they came in.
“I’ll be watching and listening”, Cruz said, but added: “I won’t sit down, shut up, support the team”. Ted also encouraged voters “to vote with [their] conscience”. “Vote for candidates up and down the ticket who you trust to defend our freedom and to be faithful to the Constitution”.
Trump’s speech will close out a four-day conclave in Cleveland that exposed continuing divisions among Republicans over their nominee at a time when they need to unite for a looming battle against Democrat Hillary Clinton in the run-up to the November 8 election.
Trump will also call for reduced taxes for Americans.
“The number of new illegal immigrant families who have crossed the border so far this year already exceeds the entire total from 2015”, Trump said. But the GOP nominee spent most of the news conference pounding Cruz, who finished second to Trump in a bruising primary campaign that began as a field of 17.
“I have made billions of dollars in business making deals – now I’m going to make our country rich again”, he said. Because Ted Cruz has decided that he knows better?
