Trump doubles down on claim Obama founded ISIS

Bob Corker took issue today with GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump’s assertions that President Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton are “the founders” of ISIS.

He’s got tenacity, for sure, and on Wednesday night in Sunrise, Florida, the real estate mogul managed to not deliver a disastrous shoutout to his “2nd Amendment people”.

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump called U.S. “He’s the founder. He founded ISIS“.

This isn’t the first time such an accusation is made, as last week, during an event in the same state, Trump said that his opponent for a place in the Oval Office “should gen an award from them as the founder of Isis. But then you know that, which makes this all even more horrifying”. You meant that he created the vacuum, that he lost the peace.

However, Trump objected to that interpretation, saying, “No, I meant he’s the founder of ISIS”. “He was the most valuable player”, according to interview transcripts.

“If they gave a trophy for most valuable player, the victor of the trophy for ISIS would probably have to be Hillary Clinton”, he said. I give them the most valuable player award, and I give it to him and I give the co-founder to Hillary.

“He was the founder”. His, the way he got out of Iraq was that that was the founding of ISIS, OK? But that’s not what Trump is saying here, nor is it something he is ever likely to say. “Everyone’s liking it. I think they’re liking it”. When Hugh Hewitt gave him the chance to distance himself from these comments on Thursday morning, he doubled down instead. “FYI – U.S. -backed militias retook ISIS’s stronghold in Libya today thanks to Obama-authorized air strikes”, he said in a tweet late on Wednesday.

He is now behind Clinton in opinion polls, and many Republicans are alarmed that not only could the party lose the chance to win the White House but that Republican majorities in the Senate and House of Representatives could be at stake. She’s hammered him for avoiding accountability for his actions.

“This is another example of Donald Trump trash-talking the United States”.

“Regardless of party, voters are increasingly concerned that Trump’s tendency to bully, demean and degrade others sends the wrong message to our children”, Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta said. [Obama] calls it ISIL, nobody else does.

Hillary and Obama helped arm ISIS and throw Syria into disarray and also facilitated in creating the immigrant crisis in Europe right now.

What’s now known as ISIS began as the al-Qaeda affiliate in Iraq in the early aughts, before Obama was president and Clinton was secretary of state.

“I don’t care”, Trump answered.

In fact, Obama is a Christian who was born in the US.

“Some of them just can’t get over it”, Trump told the crowd.

Also on Tuesday at a rally in North Carolina, Trump labeled Clinton the Islamic State’s “most valuable player”.
