Trump endorses Paul Ryan, John McCain after initially refusing to do so
House Speaker Paul Ryan reaffirmed his support for Donald Trump Thursday in his first comments since the GOP presidential nominee declined to endorse the speaker in an upcoming Republican primary.

New polls that suggest Hillary Clinton has built a significant lead over Donald Trump in the wake of the Democratic convention are being viewed with skepticism by both the campaign and some key Clinton supporters.
“In our shared mission to make America great again, I support and endorse our Speaker of the House Paul Ryan”, he said, to cheers from the Green Bay crowd. I try and explain why I am not particularly persuaded by studies of Exit Polls in regard to US elections, and why, frankly, my response to their report would be similar whether they found proof of fraud or proof of zero fraud in the election. The hard week for Trump has overshadowed potentially damaging news for Democrats and his rival Hillary Clinton, such as recent revelations about how the United States delivered $400 million to Iran as part of a nuclear detente deal.
Trump had balked at endorsing Ryan on Tuesday in an interview with The Washington Post, a move that intensified concerns about his presidential campaign within the GOP as Trump already faced controversy over his criticism over the weekend of the parents of an American soldier killed in combat.
Since his endorsement, Ryan has called out Trump numerous times.
“I don’t like doing this”.
Mr Nehlen said Mr Trump’s decision “is appropriate and is a display of true leadership”. “He never quits. He never backs down”.
About 42 per cent of likely voters favoured Mrs Clinton, to Mr Trump’s 39 per cent, according to the July 31- Aug 4 online poll of 1,154 likely voters.
Ryan, like other top Wisconsin Republicans, did not attend Trump’s evening appearance in their state.
But in the past week he’s made statements that might test that, including his criticisms of Khizr and Ghazala Khan, the father and mother of Capt. Humayun Kahn, killed in 2004 by a suicide vehicle bomb in Iraq.
“It doesn’t make me feel good when people say those things, and I recognize that I have work to do”, Clinton said. “Moving forward, as a veteran and someone who knows firsthand the cost of war, I will continue to push for an end to counterproductive interventionist wars, and lead our country down a path toward peace”.
“All my life I’ve been told, ‘You have the greatest temperament, ‘” he said.
“If you don’t like me, that’s okay, vote for Pence, because it’s the same thing”, he said.
“I support and endorse”.
“Paul Ryan has to go”. “I take it seriously”, she said.
“He’s turned into a lifelong politician. He’s for open borders”, said Ron Lovelien, giving a position that Ryan says he rejects. Nearly one-fourth of these voters don’t know how they will vote in November, and the 77 percent who did answer the poll are not necessarily enthusiastic supporters.
The White House has insisted the payment had nothing to do with the release of the hostages. “She’s actually not strong enough to be president”. And for months, people considered Trump an entertainer who was simply trying to gain even more attention, yet was not serious about running for office. Finally, she not only commanded a huge lead – 53%-27% – in Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties taken as a group, she also has a surprising lead in west MI – 45%-33% – despite its being considered a Republican bastion. Ron Johnson were all attending events elsewhere.
Few political pundits give Trump much of a chance to win the presidency in November unless he can use his message as a political outsider who will tear up trade deals seen as bad by many across the industrial Midwest and the Rust Belt to pick up disaffected white voters in what have been traditionally Democratic states, MI among them.
Hedge fund managers John Paulson and Steve Feinberg, Moore, the Trump economic adviser, and David Malpass, who has served in previous Republican administrations, were also named.
Contrary to some rallies, Trump drew a small group of protesters here, about 20.

“She’s pretty close to unhinged and you’ve seen it, she is like an unbalanced person”, Trump alleged. “I take it seriously”, she said.
