Trump escalates attacks on judge in Trump University suit
Trump called him a “hater” and said he believed the judge was “Mexican”. But after Donald Trump lost a battle in court for his Trump University lawsuit, he made some comments about the judge that were slightly heinous to say the least.

Trump has accused U.S. District Judge Gonzalo Curiel of harboring a bias against him in lawsuits involving fraud allegations against Trump University, the NY business man’s now-defunct real estate school.
In his latest rant, Trump insists Curiel’s Mexican heritage is relevant because of the candidate’s vowed stance against immigration and his pledge to deport millions of immigrants and build a wall along the Mexican border.
In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Trump said Curiel’s heritage and membership in a Latino lawyer’s association presented an “absolute conflict”. “It’s a conflict of interest because of Mexico”. After attacking her record last week, Trump on Thursday moderated his tone and said he would like her endorsement. And Trump did not become bellicose about Curiel until the judge, at the request of news organizations, ordered the unsealing of documents in the case- documents that have proved embarrassing for the GOP presumptive nominee.
Trump made his case Friday during an interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper.
The revelations come as the 2016 presidential race shapes up as a contest between Trump and the likely Democratic nominee, Hillary Clinton, who has sharply criticized his remarks.
In December, when Trump first proposed a religious test for people entering the United States, Capito, Jenkins and McKinley all said they disagreed. In addition, some legal experts say Trump’s comments could be considered a criminal contempt of court. The two minutes slid into 12: “We’re in front of a very hostile judge” who “was appointed by Barack Obama”, Mr Trump complained.
Curiel’s parents emigrated to America from Mexico, but the presiding judge was born in IN and is an American citizen. He said the family was “worried about it at the time that we heard about the death threats”. It also seems very coincidental that Trump would use those accusations following a series of setbacks against him – those same setbacks that have landed him deeper into the abyss of the lawsuit, all presided over by Curiel. “I think that’s why he’s doing it”.
“I hope he’ll change his direction on that”, McConnell said.
“Political discourse is always somewhat cartoonish in a way, and hyperbolic, but there are limits, and I can’t think of any serious presidential candidate who has stretched the limits to the degree which Trump has”, he said.

Trump also had a rally in Redding, Calif. Friday afternoon where he spent much of his time fighting back against Clinton’s attacks and defending his donations to veterans.
