President Donald Trump has said the United States will be forced to destroy North Korea, if it is prompted to defend itself or allies. “It was absolutely not a speech in defense of cooperation”.

Kim’s top diplomat Ja Song Nam got up from his desk and left the auditorium before Trump arrived on stage for a fierce debut address at the UN.

Closer home, talking about situation in Venezuela and Cuba, he spoke about futility of socialism as an ideology and said the USA can’t simply sit and watch what’s going on in these countries.

The photo, taken by Mary Altaffer of the Associated Press, shows Trump’s homeland security secretary turned chief of staff holding his face in his hand while listening to his boss, with First Lady Melania Trump seated in front of him.

The senator will also be meeting with USA defence secretary James Mattis on Thursday to discuss issues relating to North Korea.

“And he will talk about, as well, the enablement of the North Korean regime and what that means too”, the official said.

Mr Trump, who entered the White House eight months ago, told the 193-member global body that the United States did not seek to impose its will on other nations and would respect other countries’ sovereignty.

Mr. Trump said the world must demand that Iran cease its pursuit of “death and destruction”, and he accused the government in Tehran of ignoring the more peaceful will of its citizens.

“Fortunately, the United States has done very well since election day last November 8”.

It is time for all nations to work together to isolate the Kim regime until it ceases its hostile behavior.

“And it has just been announced that we will be spending nearly $700bn on our military and defence”.

Trump issued a harsh warning in his speech, saying North Korea threatens an “unthinkable loss of human life” by pursuing nuclear weapons and ballistic missiles.

“The exiting of the United States from such an agreement would carry a high cost, meaning that subsequent to such an action by the United States of America, no one will trust America again”, Rouhani told NBC. “I will always put America first”.
