Trump expects to raise $1 billion with Republican Party
“These are all reasons why I can not support his candidacy”, Bush wrote, adding that he would not vote for likely Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton either. Rabin said he’s proud to have been an early supporter of Trump.

JOHN YANG: Ted Cruz quit last night after Trump routed him in the in primary. Many GOP leaders remain firmly in the #NeverTrump camp, and Trump trails Clinton badly in general election polls.
Clinton said she is running her own campaign to become the president of the country and not against Trump.
Trump acknowledged that he would have to liquidate some of his real estate holdings to muster the hundreds of millions of dollars needed to self-fund a credible fall campaign.
Detailing a meeting with people at his hometown Walmart, Sasse said there was clearly an “appetite” for a third-party candidate.
Trump has overcome sustained opposition from Republican rivals by using his star power to give voice to an anti-establishment movement.
The state Republican parties set the rules for what’s to be done with pledged delegates, and each state has different rules. And last month, she told reporters when asked if she understands why her opponent would want to stay in the race, “It’s up to everyone to decide how long they stay in and if we go to the end… just as I did in ’08”.
Cruz warned that a Trump victory in IN on Tuesday would “plunge America into a political abyss”.
This came from a GOP group, but expect similar spots from Democrats to use this tactic against Trump repeatedly during the general election, too. Ryan, R-Wis., talks during a campaign rally for U.S. Sen.
After the defeat, Cruz said that no “viable path” to winning the nomination remained to him and thus he said he was withdrawing from the race. “In the Columbus suburbs, she’s going to do very well”.
Trump holds a commanding lead and is closing in on the nomination. Instead, he offered an emotional recount of his exchanges with voters on and renewed his call for Americans to spend more time helping one another.
For some voters, that leaves them feeling like they have few good options. “Sarah Palin? Sure, it’s all possible”, he said. “Bernie actually said she’s unqualified because she’s got bad judgement and it’s true”, Trump said.
If I am so fortunate to be the Democratic nominee, obviously I’ll run against whoever they nominate. “I would be interested in vetting John”, he said.
“He seriously would go half-cocked on everything”. Nor, he said, should lawmakers apply “an ideological purity test” to the candidate because he or she would “almost certainly be more conservative than either of the two dishonest liberals now leading the two national parties”.

As a mostly powerless first-term senator, though, Cruz used his short time in Washington before running for president to frame contentious national issues in ways that boosted his political career.
