Trump Faces Convention Test: Delegates Might Not be Loyal
On Tuesday night, presidential hopeful and GOP frontrunner Donald Trump sat down with his wife, Melania, and his children, Ivanka, Tiffany, Donald Jr., and Eric, for a televised town hall in anticipation of next week’s NY primary.

“He ought to win his home state convincingly, if Donald isn’t substantially above 50 percent in NY it will be a big loss for him”, said Senator Ted Cruz today, speaking with radio host Glenn Beck.
“In fact, we wiped him out”, Manafort said in an NBC interview Sunday.
The rules state that those three delegates representing the district – must have two vote for Trump and one vote for Cruz – the second place finisher.
Her husband carried the state twice, winning the presidency in 1992 and 1996. He has not stormed local news shows or editorial boards and has yet to air any television commercials here, according to ad tracker Kantar Media CMAG. In fact, 19 states and territories use a caucus system. That means that votes in GOP deserts like Brooklyn and the Bronx are arguably even more valuable than in Republican-rich counties like Nassau and Suffolk. Sanders rallied in Wyoming, and they have fewer delegates than us.
End of story? This is Donald Trump we’re talking about.
Cruz even compared Trump to the lead character from “The Godfather”. “I believe this is some frustration that has bubbled up”, the chairman said, adding that he doesn’t take the attack personally.
Donald Trump is getting some unlikely assistance from his opponents in his uphill effort to win a majority of Republican presidential delegates. Ted Cruz for one ballot in Cleveland based on election results.
Trump won every county in the Chattahoochee Valley but there’s a good chance he may not be the party’s nominee. Why Ryan won’t run: Members of House Speaker Paul Ryan’s inner circle say there are explanations for everything he’s doing that makes him seem presidential – and insist that he would not accept the Republican nomination for president. It all comes to a head at the Republican National Convention which also has its own set of rules that can be complicated and easily undone. But his Senate colleagues have been slow to warm to Cruz, with a handful making clear they’re backing him only reluctantly to stop Trump.
A former associate general counsel at the Federal Election Commission told the Post, “We’re in uncharted territory”.
He cited last weekend’s state GOP convention in Colorado, where Trump campaign flyers incorrectly listed the names and ballot numbers of supporters seeking ballot positions.
If Cruz and Kasich were to focus their time and resources in different venues – the Texas senator in more conservative upstate districts and the Ohioan in several New York City and in suburban districts – they would have a better shot at denying the front-runner half the votes in a number of districts. “The people out there are going insane, in the Denver area and Colorado itself, and they’re going absolutely insane because they weren’t given a vote”.”I have to figure out how to do computer program thing that lets you make calls”, she said.
“You sorry (expletive)!” one email said.
“That is the tactic of union thugs”, Cruz said. As Craig Shirley recounts in his masterful history of the 1976 campaign, Ford’s chief delegate hunter, James Baker, complained to Time magazine that Ford’s people were being “outhustled” by Reagan, declaring “These Reagan people don’t care; they’re absolutely ruthless”.

Alice Stewart, a Cruz campaign spokeswoman, dismissed the Trump team’s complaints about what’s transpiring.
