Trump feels heat as GOP candidates face off in first debate

The Republican Party’s presidential hopefuls weren’t the only ones to get some TV airtime in Thursday’s night primary debate.

While being interviewed last night on CNN Tonight, Trump said Fox News’s Megyn Kelly “had blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her wherever” while grilling him during the first Republican presidential debate on Thursday night. No candidate emerged the clear victor from the two-hour debate, leaving the Republican race potentially more unsettled than ever.

Of course, it might appear unusual to many that the brash, bombastic candidate who so readily criticizes others, calling them “stupid” or worse, might take offense as tough, pointed questioning is directed his way.

Some voters expressed frustration that the candidates spent so much time attacking each other, they failed to focus on the issues. So, I sent him an e-mail and said, ‘I’m sorry to have to do this, but I consider you disinvited.

Amid the controversy it emerged that Mr Trump’s top political adviser had left his campaign.

Friday, he told Willie Geist of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe”, “I just don’t think it’s very professional”. Trump’s Twitter feed is sprinkled with insults to women – and some men – that use words such as “dog”, “ugly”, “dumb”, “stupid” and “disgusting”.

Erickson said when he heard about Trump’s comment, he asked his campaign if Trump meant what was implied and whether he planned to clarify or apologize.

To kick things off, Kelly challenged Trump on his past offensive comments toward women. Trump said, as he has said before, that he contributes to politicians including Hillary Clinton and in return gets what he wants from them. “We’re all a little chubby, but Rosie’s just worse than most of us”.

Paul also entered a verbal joust with New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie over his attempts to defund the NSA. “That, on top of the comments he’s made that I think were really offensive, make it the right decision not to associate with him”.
