Trump finally says President Obama was born in the US
Trump was, for many years, the most prominent proponent of the “birther” movement, which claimed Obama was born outside the US and thus ineligible to be president – despite the fact that he was born in Hawaii.

That’s because on Thursday, Trump declined to tell the Washington Post if he still questioned whether Obama is an American citizen. “I just don’t care for anything that he says”.
Clinton is set to tape an interview on NBC’s “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon”, on which Trump appeared Thursday night.
“He was asked one more time where was President Obama born and he still wouldn’t say Hawaii. And Donald Trump owes him and the American people an apology”, she added. Only 2 percent of Jews who said Clinton would be better for Israel want Trump to be president.
She says Trump is feeding into the “worst impulses, the bigotry and bias” that lurks in the nation.
“Don Jr. was clearly referring to capital punishment to make the case that the media continues to take words out of context in order to serve as the propaganda arm of the Hillary Clinton campaign”, Trump spokesman Jason Miller said in an email.
Asked in an interview with Irish TV, as reported by Buzzfeed, if he believes the president was born in the USA now finally after producing his long-form birth certificate, Trump said, “Well, I don’t know – did he do it?” Polls in battleground states where the race is likely to be decided showed Trump now leading in Iowa, Ohio, Florida and Nevada, and tied in North Carolina.
Asked by the paper whether his campaign manager, Kellyanne Conway, was accurate when she said in a recent television interview that her boss now believes the president was born in the U.S., Trump was equally evasive.
Rufus Bartell, a Detroit businessman and founder of a retail and consulting group, said there’s been too much damage for Trump to make up with many black voters, who have been a powerful voting bloc during Obama’s time in Washington.
“I’m going to have a big statement made today at the hotel”.
His campaign released a statement later in the day saying the candidate is convinced of the legitimacy of Obama’s presidency.
For years, Trump elevated a conspiracy theory – not grounded at all in fact – that became so controversial the White House released a long-form birth certificate in 2011. They said they believed it was some sort of political calculation by Trump in hopes of getting votes from blacks or moderate whites.
For years, Trump has been the most prominent proponent of the “birther” idea. In a stunning final twist to a weird and unprecedented saga, Trump now stands a reasonable change of succeeding Obama in office.
“Everything that is broken today can be fixed, and every failure can be turned into a great success”, Trump said in his speech to the Economic Club of NY.
Trump is due also in Washington, D.C., later Friday and is expected to speak at his namesake hotel.
In a wider sense, his misinformation campaign about Obama’s birthplace also amounted to an attempt to delegitimize an elected American President.
The President even famously mocked Trump’s ridiculous accusations during his 2011 White House Correspondents’ Dinner speech.
“I have people that have been studying (Obama’s birth certificate) and they can not believe what they’re finding”. “Period. Now we all want to get back to making America strong again”.
Friday marked the first time he said in no uncertain terms he was mistaken.

After frustrating the press with essentially an unpaid advertisement for twenty minutes, Trump finally came on stage and delivered what he said: A statement on Barack Obama’s birth. I’m not sure what he meant by, “you know what I mean”. “And where are Biggie and Tupac?”
