Trump Goes to Mexico
Trump will be giving a speech in Greenville, NC next Tuesday, which seems like an obvious attempt at damage control after the Republican nominee was called out by Mexican President Peña Nieto for lying about Mexico paying for the wall, and criticized by his own Hispanic advisors after his “immigration policy speech” ended up being nothing more than an hour of immigrant bashing in Phoenix. Alfonso Aguilar, the president of the Latino Partnership for Conservative Principles, said he feels “misled” by Trump and officially withdrew his support from the GOP candidate Thursday morning in a CNN interview.

DONALD Trump has retreated from his pledge to deport all people living in the United States illegally, but he remains committed to building a physical wall along the USA border with Mexico.
Trump has sparked anger in Mexico with accusations on the campaign trail that the country sends rapists and drug runners to the United States, as well as his threats to tear up trade deals and make Mexico fund his planned wall.
Any person living in the country illegally who is arrested “for any crime whatsoever”, he said, will immediately be placed into deportation proceedings.
Left unanswered by Trump: What would happen to those who have not committed crimes beyond their immigration offenses?
Clinton gave a State of the Union address where he said all Americans were disturbed by the amount of illegal immigrants in the country.
The democratic nominee is also leading in all battleground states.
Critics, meanwhile, said Trump’s glossing over the fate of people who are peacefully living in the USA without permission doesn’t make up for his overall approach.
Trump told reporters during his afternoon appearance with Pena Nieto that the two men didn’t discuss who would pay for a cost of construction pegged in the billions.
Clinton called Trump’s proposals “un-American” and has said she is willing to continue to accept Syrian refugees who arrive in the USA under the stringent screening process already in place.
“What I know is that Mexico will not pay a single cent if they want to build a wall on that side of the border”, he added.
After Trump had left Mexico, Pena Nieto was at pains to stress how he had brought home to the NY businessman the offense his comments have caused, calling his proposals a threat to the country.
