Trump has 5-point lead in Ohio
Donald Trump is ahead of Hillary Clinton in two key battleground states, according to polls released Wednesday.

The Cleveland Business Journal’s detailed assessment of the Trump-Clinton poll shows that the headline statistic traders are reacting to only tells part of the story. When questions arose, mainly from partisans opposed to her candidacy, the Clinton campaign cited allergies as the issue and castigated the partisans for conspiratorial thinking…
The Republican nominee leads Mrs. Clinton, his Democratic rival, 48 percent to 43 percent among likely voters in a two-way contest and 44 percent to 39 percent when third-party candidates are included.
Of those who said they’re inclined to vote for Trump. For instance, it’s unclear whether or not Clinton received the pneumonia vaccinations recommended for everybody over the age of 65; Trump has barely released any empirical data about his health at all aside from a bombastic and unusual one-page doctor’s note from a year ago, although his campaign says more information will “soon” be forthcoming.
Remember from 2012 when conservatives insisted (falsely) that all the polls showing more Democrats than Republicans were “skewed” with D+5 or D+7 samples?
The Bloomberg poll also shows awful news for Democrats’ hope to retake control of the U.S. Senate.
Most by now are familiar with the fallout – speculation about her health, concerns about her transparency in not reporting her illness sooner – all amid the furor over Clinton’s weird comment at a fundraiser about half of Donald Trump’s followers belonging in a “basket of deplorables”.
Can Clinton win the race without Ohio?
Wednesday’s poll was conducted for Bloomberg by Selzer & Co among 802 likely voters between September 9 and 12.
Trump had the support of 44% of likely voters in Nevada, while Clinton had 42%. Johnson pulled 10 percent and Stein three percent. Clinton did edge out Trump in terms of favorable opinions at 34 percent to Trump’s 30 percent. “You can not run for president if you have such contempt in your heart for the American voter”, Trump said. Clinton still leads among nonwhites 63-28 percent and women 50-40 percent, though both those numbers are down from July when Clinton led among nonwhites 64-23 percent and women 53-38 percent.
The race for retiring U.S. Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid’s seat is also still very close, with Republican U.S. Rep. Joe Heck edging out former Democratic Attorney General Catherine Cortez Masto, according to the poll.
The Monmouth University poll was conducted by a mix of cell phone and landline telephone calls between Sep.

Quinnipiac, a week earlier, put Trump ahead by 1 percentage point, and the margin of error again was 3.5 percent.
