Trump headed to Detroit to appeal to black voters

Trump alarmed North Atlantic Treaty Organisation countries when he said if he’s president, the US might not defend North Atlantic Treaty Organisation allies under attack if they haven’t paid their fair share of defense costs.

While Trump says that he would get over 95 percent of the African American vote should he become president and run for reelection in 2020, polling in 2016 shows that he has a steep climb if he wants to attract those voters. “But it is nothing like what Donald Trump is talking about or what he described”. “He is in panic mode”, said Rep. Yvette Clarke, D-N.Y. On Saturday, Trump met with a newly created panel of Hispanic advisers at Trump Tower in NY and asked to hear their immigration policy ideas – making clear that his position is not finalized, according to two attendees.

Trump is scheduled on Wednesday to appear in Jackson, Mississippi, an 80 percent African-American city and capital of the state with the nation’s highest proportion of black residents. Give us a chance. I’ll straighten it out. “When he says ‘what do you have to lose, ‘ that is an absolute insult”.

Not everyone in the Trump campaign is convinced the candidate can make a credible pitch to minority voters with less than 90 days until the election.

“Trump finds it outrageous that black people think he doesn’t have their interests at heart or that he’s a racist”, Williams said. He and others offered their own lists of how Trump could reach out to minority communities. We have a lot of people that want to come in through the legal process and it’s not fair for them.

The New York Times’ Upshot now has Clinton with an 88 percent chance of winning the presidency as compared to Trump’s 12 percent.

That has raised questions about whether Trump is backtracking from previous pledges to push for mass deportations.

“I’ve been saying repeatedly that you can not go into a Black community in the ninth hour of a campaign and ask them to vote for a GOP candidate”.

“He has said Mexicans are rapists”.

Stein said, “We could potentially win this race”.

Trump has brought on new campaign leadership in the past week, parting ways with former Chairman Paul Manafort and bringing in Republican pollster Kellyanne Conway as campaign manager and Breitbart executive Steve Bannon as chief executive.

Ashley Bell, a spokesman for the Republican Party, responded that “it would take an entire lifetime for anyone to commit the disastrous harms the Clintons have committed against African Americans”.

“Hillary Clinton is the defender of the corrupt and rigged status quo”. Hillary Clinton was First Lady when president Bill Clinton signed a 1994 law that often is blamed for the increased incarcerations. Her response: “To be determined”. He says until Mexico pays up, the USA will increase visa and border crossing fees, “impound all remittance payments” from immigrants here illegally, and possibly increase tariffs or cut foreign aid.

“They have to go”, Trump has said repeatedly on the trail.

“We love this country”, Gutierrez said.
