Trump hits back at Clinton’s Islamic State claim

Donald Trump reacted to a series of bombing threats and attacks over the weekend with a warning on Monday that “this is only going to get worse”. Another 6 percent intend to vote for Libertarian Gary Johnson and 1 percent support Green Party candidate Jill Stein.

He still has plenty of work to do on that front in Florida.

Prior to the capture of Ahmad Khan Rahami-the suspect connected to the three bombings in Seaside Park, NJ, New York City, and Elizabeth, NJ, who was arrested after a police shootout late Monday morning-both Clinton and Trump spoke publicly about the attacks and offered their own takes on the circumstances. But among voters not registered in a party, Clinton held a narrow 39 percent to 37 percent lead over Trump, the poll found.

While SurveyMonkey says it has access to a pool of about 3 million Americans, it may not be a representative sample of USA voters since less than 1 per cent of the nation’s population has any chance at all of being surveyed.

That’s more than triple the advertising investment Trump and his allies made in the same time period.

Republican Sen. Kelly Ayotte won’t give a clear answer on whether she thinks Donald Trump would be a steady commander in chief. “They’re not gonna be deported”, she continued.

Only 24 percent of voters think Trump actually believes Obama was born in the USA, with 54 percent saying he made the admission last Friday for political reasons. A slightly more aggressive estimate could add Nevada, North Carolina and one electoral vote in ME to Trump’s tally: “The New York real-estate magnate is ahead in the most recent polls in Nevada and North Carolina, and in Maine’s Second Congressional District”.
