Trump Hits Stephanopoulos For Ties To Clintons In Fiery GMA Interview
The billionaire mogul, who has been a prominent figure in the casino business and the face of the TV reality show, “The Celebrity Apprentice”, cites ongoing IRS audits of his returns as the reason for the refusal. “You’ll see it when I release, but I fight very hard to pay as little tax as possible”. When the audit ends I’m going to present them.

Mr. Trump now says he won’t release his returns because he’s being audited. And, as Trump’s tax attorneys pointed out, the audits apply only to returns after 2008, so Trump could release all the earlier ones.
“That should be before the election. I hope it’s before the election”. Mr. Trump finally produced more readable returns, but Mr. O’Brien said he was forbidden by court order to discuss specifics.
Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton and her rival, Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont, have both released their returns.
Donald Trump during an interview with The Associated Press in his office at Trump Tower in NY on Tuesday.
Donald Trump, the probable Republican presidential nominee took to social media to clarify his previous interview with a media house.
“What about his taxes?”.
“‘When you run for president, especially when you become the nominee that is kind of expected”, Clinton said during a rally in Blackwood, New Jersey.
According to AP, Trump does not believe he has an obligation to release his returns and does not believe voters are interested in his returns. “We’ve got eight years on our website right now”, she said. Sanders released his 2014 return in April, while former USA secretary of state Clinton posted the past eight years of tax returns for her and her husband, former president Bill Clinton, on her website last August.
No candidate is required by law to release tax returns, but all the major candidates do.
Trump steadfastly insisted he would not release his returns until the audit was over.
“Nothing prevents individuals from sharing their own tax information”, the IRS had said.
Clinton this week began calling on Trump to do the same.
One can assume his tax returns are far more complex than any current or previous presidential candidate.
Donald Trump’s press secretary clarified on Thursday that the presumptive Republican nominee will not – repeat not – be adopting a new proposal for federal tax reform, despite recent reports that he was considering an alternative to his original plan.

“Tax returns provide the public with its sole confirmation of the veracity of a candidate’s representations regarding charities, priorities, wealth, tax conformance, and conflicts of interest”, wrote Romney on Facebook.
