Two new polls show presidential front-runner Donald Trump is ahead of his rivals in SC, a state that is expected to be a vital stop in the Republican primary process.

The pop-out result, obviously, is Rubio in third with a bullet at 20 percent. John Kasich’s throwing a few elbows amid his nice-guy pitch.

His campaign manager, Terry Sullivan, is a long-time SC operative, and his team has been laying down the groundwork ensure a strong showing in the state. Perhaps more noteworthy was civil rights hero John Lewis, a Georgia congressman, dismissing Sanders’ work in the civil rights movement as a college student in the 1960s. A first-term senator, Rubio also said Bush, at one time Rubio’s mentor in Florida politics, has no foreign policy experience. Cruz says he is eligible because his mother was a US citizen at the time of his birth.

On Friday, Bush campaigned at a faith forum at conservative Bob Jones University in Greenville, where he mused about what his famous father, former President George H.W. Bush, would think of Trump’s cursing. After largely staying away from the spotlight of the 2016 campaign, the former president is planning to campaign for his brother in SC and has already appeared in a Right to Rise TV ad.

The Ohio governor said he plans to stick to the positive campaign message that has carried him for eight months. “It’s all negative”, Kasich said. “Either it will work or it won’t”. With a minimal SC operation compared to his rivals, Kasich must work quickly.

While Trump will be standing at center stage, signifying his lead in national preference polls, Rubio will be the center of attention.

Bush has embraced his family’s network in the state. Cruz, who has run second in SC polling, will try to catch Trump by leaning heavily on evangelicals.

To the dismay of party leaders, all signs point to a drawn-out battle for delegates following Trump’s resounding victory in New Hampshire. The Texas senator’s schedule through the weekend targets evangelicals.

“If you take a look at the person that says that, they spent, like, well over $100 million, something along that, and they got nothing”. Rubio banked on coming into SC as the clear favorite for traditionalist Republicans wary of Trump and Cruz, creating effectively a three-man race going forward.
