After entering June with just $3.1 million in his campaign bank account, Donald Trump helped raise $51 million for his campaign and the Republican Party in June, he announced Wednesday.

Last month, the Trump team said the candidate had forgiven over $50 million in loans to the campaign – a move meant to show reluctant donors that their contributions would be directed to the operation and not to pay off Trump’s personal debt.
Of the over 400,000 supporters who donated, 94 percent gave under $200. He raised $68.3 million for the Romney Victory committee – which shared money with his campaign, the RNC and four state parties – and an additional $24.3 million exclusively for his campaign. The RNC and the Trump campaign finalized a joint fundraising agreement in mid-May. For reminders, Trump basically financed his own campaign in the primaries, lending over $43 million of his personal fortune. Additionally, Trump and the RNC raised $25 million during 22 events in June and the final week of May, the campaign release said.
“We’re extremely pleased with the response”, said Steven Mnuchin, Trump’s national finance chairman, noting the campaign just kicked off its online fundraising efforts two and half weeks ago. Party fundraisers are finalizing a busy schedule of coming finance events for Trump, who is set to headline several events almost every week through the end of the summer, according to a person familiar with the plans.

Trump has vowed to be a strongly pro-Israel president and has noted on the campaign trail that his daughter Ivanka, the wife of businessman Jared Kushner, is an Orthodox Jew. Several lawmakers offered encouraging words to the presumptive Republican nominee, and many lawmakers were past critics of Trump. “So actually, they’re racially profiling”.
