Trump is an global pariah: Colin Powell
In the emails from the past few months and going back to a year ago, Powell called GOP nominee Donald Trump a “national disgrace”, an “international pariah” with “no sense of shame”, who is leading a “racist” movement – because of Trump’s leading the “birther” movement and having questioned President Obama’s religion. “We can do much better!” he wrote. In the email, Powell said Trump “is in the process of destroying himself, no need for the Dems to attack him”, BuzzFeed reported.

She went on to hype Powell’s criticism of the Congressional investigation into Benghazi as “a stupid witch hunt”.
“I have a great deal of respect for Colin Powell”.
A cybersecurity firm during that time said the hacker who claimed credit for acquiring the emails was likely Russian, not Romanian as he let on, and may reportedly have ties to Vladimir Putin’s intelligence network. In recent days Democrats have been trying to take the heat off Clinton’s arrangement by releasing an email showing Powell giving her advice on how to use email. Powell has not endorsed Trump and has largely sidestepped questions about his thoughts on the controversial Republican nominee.
Well, it seems that you were wrong yet again, as Tuesday’s Pepe the Frog affair has been replaced as the controversy of the week, thanks to a dust-up over the email account of a former Secretary of State.
Mr Powell’s e-mails appeared on a website called DCLeaks.com, which had previously posted documents that the site had obtained after hacks into the accounts of prominent Democrats and some Republicans. While the emails are still being combed through, here are the highlights of what we’ve seen: Of the birther movement, which Trump led earlier this decade by publicly questioning whether President Barack Obama was born in the United States, Powell said its underpinnings were clear.
“Everything HRC [Hillary Clinton] touches she kind of screws up with hubris”.
“A 70-year person with a long track record, unbridled ambition, greedy, not transformational, with a husband still d– bimbos at home (according to the NYP)”, Powell wrote, apparently referring to the New York Post.
He calls Trump “a national disgrace and an worldwide pariah” who led a “racist” birther movement.
Powell said he spent a week with attorney Cheryl Mills and the Clinton team “burying the flap”.
“I told her staff three times not to try that gambit”.
Rice’s chief of staff, Georgia Godfrey, said in an email to CNN, “I would characterize the exchange as two long-time friends rehashing current events like we all do”.

In that email, Mr Powell lamented that he had repeatedly told Ms Clinton’s “minions” that they are “making a mistake trying to drag me in, yet they still try”.
