Trump Issues Twitter Warning Shot to Cruz After Reported Critique

‘Who am I comfortable having their finger on the button?’ Now that’s a question of strength, but it’s also a question of judgment. Other than Donald Trump, the two lawmakers increasingly appear to be each other’s most challenging obstacle on the path to the Republican nomination – and they are now acting accordingly.

It’s an incredibly mild form of criticism, but it’s apparently enough to set off The Donald.

Why? Mr. Cruz is threatening Mr. Trump’s lead in the crucial early caucus state of Iowa.

Christian conservative Bob Vander Plaats on Thursday endorsed the presidential campaign of Ted Cruz.

At a closed-door donor event, Cruz is heard questioning if either Trump or Carson have the proper judgment to become president, as heard on an audio recording provided by The New York Times.

‘And ultimately the decision is, who has the right judgment – experience and judgment – to serve as commander in chief?

Cruz said: ‘What I will say is this: In the course of a presidential election, the voters are going to make a decision about every candidate.

“Everything I say, he agrees with me – no matter what I say”, Trump said.

Trump preempted his jibes at Cruz earlier today when he tweeted: ‘Looks like Ted Cruz is getting ready to attack.

I believe gravity will bring both of those campaigns down. Sen.

Trump previewed his attack lines on Twitter Friday morning. Trump predicted Cruz would “fall like all others”.

But Trump doesn’t let disses go – even mild, private ones. In recent weeks, Cruz has emerged in the pack of 13 Republican candidates for president as a serious challenger. I won’t say Cruz because he’s been nice to me. One person asked Trump if Cruz’s ethanol position is “because of his ties with big oil”?

The pair tends to lavish praise on one another, with Cruz recently saying that he could imagine Trump in his administration. The New York Times reported that Cruz has disagreed with Trump’s proposal to ban Muslims from entering the United States, however Cruz has praised the billionaire for making immigration a point of focus in his campaign.

“He’s running and I’m running and we both agreed that we started out as friends and we’ll end as friends”, Cruz said in July.
