Trump Jab at Clinton Seen by Some as Threat of Violence

The Kaines between 2006 and 2015 paid a combined federal, state and local effective tax rate between 18.7 percent and 29.1 percent.

Numerous U.S. political surveys show Clinton pulling to a steady polling advantage of about seven points over Trump and gaining ground in key states that will decide the November 8 election to replace President Barack Obama.

The Clinton campaign will also be releasing 10 years worth of tax returns from Virginia Sen. “What is he trying to hide?”, said Jennifer Palmieri.

Clinton, in an economic speech Thursday outside Detroit, will hit Trump for not releasing his taxes and suggest that the returns cover up how much the businessman’s tax proposal would actually help people like him, an aide said Wednesday.

The Clintons pulled in $10.6 million in 2015, much less than the almost $28 million they made the year before.

Asked in a television interview in May what tax rate he pays, Trump replied “It’s none of your business”.

Bill spent $500,000 in travel as part of the speaking portion of his business, Hillary had about $250,000 in travel expenses for her speaking business.

That means their effective tax rate – a measure of their income tax burden – was 30.6% based on their adjusted gross income.

Clinton released eight years of personal income tax returns in 2015.

Clinton surrogate, Billionaire Warren Buffett, challenged Trump to a tax return show-and-tell at a campaign stop earlier this month.

“Let’s remember where Trump makes many of his products and it’s not America”, she said.

“But I also know that I sat across the table from Hillary Clinton, eye-to-eye, and when you’re working outside of staff and outside the press, she is somebody I can work with”, King said.

Mrs. Clinton hoped the release would embarrass GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump, who has refused to release any of his, while also shining a light on the high rate she and her husband paid in their own taxes.

Democratic presidential nominee and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and her husband, former USA president Bill Clinton, greet supporters.

Clinton was expected to go on the offensive, attacking Trump and delivering what the New York Times described as “her first full-throttled rejection” of his economic policies.

The release appeared to be aimed at drawing renewed attention to Donald Trump’s refusal to release his own tax records.

The Clinton campaign has put out eight years of Clinton’s returns, from 2007 to 2014.
