Trump Jr clarifies ‘media in gas chamber’ remark that ‘trivialised Holocaust’
Mr. Trump said Friday that the remark “was poor choice of words, perhaps, but in no way, shape or form was I ever even remotely talking about the Holocaust”.

Trump Jr.’s comments came after he in another interview dropped his father’s campaign’s argument that he hasn’t released his tax returns because of ongoing IRS audits – instead saying those returns would distract from his father’s message.
Nazis used gas chambers during World War IIto kill millions of Jews imprisoned in European concentration camps.
Trump spokesman Jason Miller told Politico that the comments were misconstrued.
Trump Jr’s poor taste comments come as both his father and rival Clinton face pressure to share more medical information after the Democratic candidate fell ill during a 9/11 ceremony in NY on Sunday morning.
“If Republicans were doing that, they’d be warming up the gas chamber right now”, the younger Trump said. The Anti-Defamation League is calling for Donald Trump’s oldest son to apologize for making what appeared to be a Holocaust-themed joke. “We hope you retract”, the organization tweeted.
“Trivialization of the Holocaust and gas chambers is NEVER okay”, the group said on Twitter. “The bottom line is this – offensive references to the Holocaust are never acceptable, especially from a presidential campaign”, Bard said in a statement.
And at the Republican National Convention, his four adult children – Ivanka, Don Jr., Eric and Tiffany – each delivered speeches that sought to show more human sides of their father.
It’s not the first time Donald Trump Jr has been accused of neo-Nazi tolerance.

Topping off the day, Trump also tweeted that “the new aristocrats are in DC” were taking from “hardworking Americans”, a reference that struck some observers as odd coming from the son of a billionaire whose father was also wealthy. “Apparently I made the cut as one of the Deplorables”, he wrote, referring to controversial comments by the former secretary of state, who referred to Trump supporters as a “basket of deplorables” the previous week.
