Trump lawyer Michael Cohen forced to reveal another client: Sean Hannity
The host has a relationship with the president’s attorney. Cohen was in court with his own lawyer earlier in the day.

During Tuesday’s program, he called the raid “an unprecedented abuse of power”. He added that Cohen’s “life has been turned upside down”.
But even after Cohen’s office and home were raided by the FBI, Hannity, who already had a professional relationship with the attorney, never disclosed that fact while reporting on the raid. On Monday, a little more detail was shed on the still-sealed areas the government is investigating. The prosecution argued, in effect, that Cohen was hardly a lawyer at all.
Wood denied Hendon’s application for a temporary restraining order that would block federal investigators from examining the seized material for their criminal investigation. The transcript of that exchange was released by the court Monday. None of this went the way Cohen’s attorneys had hoped, of course, but the ultimate resolution to the attempted hiding of Hannity’s identity was entirely a self-inflicted wound on the part of Cohen’s legal team. Cohen only has two other clients, and all he does is pay off mistresses.
Wood ordered on Friday that Cohen’s attorneys produce a list of all the people they claim are his legal clients by Monday, which may in itself lead to heated disputes in the courtroom in lower Manhattan. The other seven were of a business consulting nature. Those included Trump and Elliot Broidy, the former Republican fundraiser who – with the help of Cohen – paid $1.6 million to a Playboy model with whom he had an affair and impregnated.
Hannity later said that he had never paid for Cohen’s services or been represented by him, but had sought confidential legal advice from him. Second, Ryan argued that “no one would want to be associated with” Michael Cohen as a client at this point due to the press coverage surrounding the raid specifically and the case generally. It’s very clear that there’s no Russian Federation stuff.
When the news broke, Hannity tweeted that Cohen “has never represented me in any matter”.
Trump’s personal lawyers argued Sunday that the Justice Department can’t fairly evaluate whether Cohen’s records are protected by attorney-client privilege.
Fox News host Sean Hannity addresses Proclaim 17, the National Religious Broadcasters International Christian Media Convention, on February 27, 2017 in Orlando, Fla. They never involved any matter ― any matter ― between me, a third party, a third group at all.
Cohen is asking Wood for an order allowing his lawyers or a special master appointed by the court to first review the materials before anyone from the US Attorney’s Office in the Southern District of NY – which executed the warrant – does so. The Playmate became pregnant and elected to have an abortion. “Most [think] Cohen’s clients are going to kill him when their files all get leaked to the media”, he said, just minutes before the Hannity revelation went public.
Investigators are examining Cohen’s role in paying $176,000 (NZ) to adult-film actress Stormy Daniels in 2016 for her silence about an affair she alleges she had with Trump in 2006.

Cohen, who is under criminal investigation for possible bank fraud and campaign finance violations, has come under scrutiny by federal prosecutors for his efforts to tamp down negative stories about Trump. Noah wasn’t impressed. Comey’s paeans to America and truth sound like a Drake lyric, he said, but “when you’re also throwing grade-school shade” about Trump’s hair and hands, it “doesn’t sound like an impartial lawman”.
