Trump leads Clinton by small margin in Texas

Bardack said that Clinton was diagnosed by CT scan with “mild, noncontagious, and bacterial” pneumonia on September 9, adding that she is taking the antibiotic Levaquin to treat it and has been advised to rest so that she can properly recover.

Trump’s campaign, which has avoided the topic as well, also appeared to take a swipe at Clinton when releasing a summary of Trump’s physical from his doctor Harold Bornstein. Her campaign was initially silent on what happened and only later disclosed that Clinton had been diagnosed with pneumonia two days before the incident.

“I just talked to her – she’s feeling great and I think she’ll be back out there tomorrow”, former President Bill Clinton said Wednesday, when he stepped in for his wife at a previous scheduled campaign event in Las Vegas.

Bardack, in her letter about Clinton, wrote: “She is recovering well with antibiotics and rest”.

The health episode fuelled long-simmering conservative conspiracy theories about Ms Clinton’s health and provided a fresh line of attack for rival Donald Trump, who has frequently questioned whether Ms Clinton has the stamina to serve as commander in chief.

The new information also shows Clinton takes the Thyroid medication and the blood-thinner Coumadin, which was previously known.

Bardack added: “She is recovering well with antibiotics and rest”.

As is his custom and practice, Trump insulted the intelligence of the American people, this time with an appearance on “The Dr. Oz Show”.

Trump and Clinton are some of the oldest candidates running for presidency.

Clinton’s Republican rival Donald Trump will also reveal the results of his own recent medical exam during a TV show set to be aired on Thursday, said a daily report by The Hill, a top US political website.

Trump, in an interview Thursday morning on “Fox and Friends” said he is 6-foot-3 and 236 pounds – giving him a body mass index falling into the “overweight” range.

At the same time, Clinton has criticized Donald Trump for releasing a letter from his doctor earlier past year, which contained virtually no objective health information.

Clinton had received backlash for not being more transparent on her health. Her blood pressure and cholesterol levels are “good” or “excellent” and place her at low risk for illness for a woman her age, the doctors said. In it, Trump gives Dr Mehmet Oz two letters showing the results of medical tests conducted last week.

The letter also notes that in January, during the run-up to the Iowa caucuses, Clinton developed a sinus and ear infection that was initially treated with antibiotics and steroids.

In a snippet teased on the site, Mehmet Oz – who is also a professor of surgery at Columbia University in NY – is seen asking Trump: “If your health is as strong as it seems. why not show your medical records?”

Clinton’s campaign released an updated medical information.

Bardack placed Clinton’s condition in the context of a number of recent allergy flairs, “a typical pattern for most of her life”. The letter said Kaine has never smoked and his alcohol use is “modest”.

In a move to jump-start momentum, Clinton’s campaign announced on Thursday that U.S. Senators Elizabeth Warren of MA and Bernie Sanders of Vermont will campaign for her on Saturday in the battleground state of Ohio.

Testing that shows no evidence of plaque building up in her arteries “is all very reassuring”, he said.
