Trump Leaning To Politician For No. 2 On Ticket
But presumptive nominee Donald Trump has split the party, with some senior figures declining to give him their endorsement. He says that while he will continue to put up “substantial money”, he must also develop a more traditional fundraising approach now that he is likely to face off with Democrat Hillary Clinton in the general election.

Many national Republicans, including Ryan, fear that Trump’s uninhibited remarks about women, Hispanics and others will turn off more traditional GOP voters, hurting the party’s chances at retaining majority control of the House and Senate. A spokesman for the former GOP nominee said Thursday that he has no plans of attending this summer’s Republican convention.
In a statement, she said: “I have great respect for the will of the people, and as I have always said, I will support the Republican nominee for president”.

Trump is pushing ahead with his campaign to reach 1,237 delegates nevertheless, heading to West Virginia to hold a rally Thursday evening. Ron Johnson is expected to endorse Trump.
