Aldridge, Wade’s first cousin, was hit by gunfire Friday afternoon as she pushed her 3-week-old girl on a stroller in Chicago’s south side, police said.
Alridge, 32, was caught in the crossfire of nearby gunshots.

The family has also established a trust fund to aid the four children that Aldridge was forced to leave behind.
Darwin Sorells Jr. admitted in a statement that he was armed and approached the apparent target of the shooting with a gun.

“The endless gun violence in places like Chicago, Dallas, not to mention Orlando, it has to stop; enough”, Wade said.
Following Aldridge’s death, Wade and his family called for an end to the violence, which has plagued the city for years.
There is video of the incident, Dennihan said, but no weapon was recovered and police don’t know where the weapon is.
Chicago authorities have said more than half of the guns used in crimes come from out of state, including about 20 percent from Indiana.
“Clearly, they don’t think we’re serious”, he said. Wade was understandably gutted by the violence that took a family member’s life.
“We send our deepest condolences to the entire Wade family during this hard time”, the team’s statement said.
