Trump literally tells Pence ‘you could say yes’ on John McCain question

“I just really support Donald Trump’s decision to delay the announcement today”.

Donald Trump’s first joint interview with Mike Pence since naming the IN governor as his running mate was a fascinating look at the stark differences between the two men IN terms of style, policy and temperament.

Frequently straying from the notes on the lectern, Trump talked about himself and likely Democratic rival Hillary Clinton, often detouring from the objective of the event: to introduce a little-known politician to the broader public. Trump said. “We’re going to do territories”.

“This is the primary reason I wanted Mike – other than that he looks very good, other than he’s got an incredible family, and incredible wife”, said Trump. As vice-presidential rollouts go, many agree that this was a odd and chaotic affair.

Trump tells “60 Minutes” that he and his running mate are ready to confront troubles in the world. Taking the opportunity to extract revenge, Clinton took to Twitter (video below) and highlighted how Pence was left, well, short-changed (no pun intended).

Christie, once considered the front-runner for the GOP presidential nomination, stunned some of his own allies by becoming the first of the Republican hopefuls to endorse Trump after ending his own campaign.

Unlike Trump, Pence also joined U.S. President Barack Obama and House Speaker Paul Ryan to back the Trans-pacific partnership deal, a trade deal staunchly opposed by Trump.

One of the more freaky parts of the interview came when Trump defended Pence’s support for the Iraq War, despite having criticised Democratic rival Hillary Clinton for the same thing.

Christie gave his first public comments since Trump’s decision after a private speech Sunday at a hotel near where Republicans are gathering for the convention.

Trump has thrilled supporters with a willingness to hurl insults at Democrats and Republican alike, tearing them down them with pet nicknames: “Little Marco” and “Crooked Hillary” among them.

“And this campaign, and Donald Trump’s candidacy, has been about the issues the American people care about”. However, Pence and his low-key demeanor was overshadowed by Trump and his brash interjections.

Trump also said he took into consideration Pence’s relative popularity with conservative evangelicals, but added that he didn’t “need” the governor on board to win that group of voters.

He bragged that they had been “crushed”. We’re going to have surrounding states and, very importantly, get North Atlantic Treaty Organisation involved because we support North Atlantic Treaty Organisation far more than we should, frankly, because you have a lot of countries that aren’t doing what they’re supposed to be doing.

Trump has, “hardly been a proponent for reproductive rights and justice”.

Clinton’s team was already painting Pence’s conservative social viewpoints as out of step with the mainstream. She pointed to the Bushes as proof that the dislike of Trump reaches wider than just New Jersey.
