Trump makes direct appeal to African-American voters
A new NBC/Wall Street Journal poll found Hillary Clinton beating him among that demographic 91% to 1%.

Republican pollster Greg Strimple said that’s not just spin, arguing the “overarching national message of the campaign is not one that can unify the country, so I would focus on doing small events that have local flavor”. He reshuffled top campaign leaders this week, and on Friday accepted the resignation of campaign chairman Paul Manafort. Many Republican primary voters were attracted to his blunt style of speaking that was so anti-establishment and full of the hyperbole that many Washington insiders have grown to embrace.
Trump’s reshuffling also overshadowed fresh stories about Clinton’s use of a private email account and server as secretary of state. The Republican nominee was in Baton Rouge surveying the damage from devastating flooding this past week.
But what if Trump really is in the midst of a lasting reset?
Mr Trump has continued to increase the size of his operation, putting 5 million dollars (£3.8 million) this week into his first batch of TV ads.
Meanwhile, Clinton raised $62.3 million for her campaign in July, including more than $30 million raised through two joint fundraising committees.
Among Hispanics, Trump is trailing Clinton by 60 points. “The very best way this team can help is to make sure Louisianans have the resources they need”. “They understand the nature of taking on the left”, said former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, a Trump ally. The bad news is that she is likely to have to play more defense, especially if Bannon builds on his success in enticing reporters at nonconservative media outlets to work on stories damaging to her.
And then for the trivial, there’s the campaign rally earlier this month, outlets reported that Trump asked a woman with a crying baby to leave. Some supporters say that and Trump’s most recent speech signal big changes to come from the campaign.
Mr Moran said: “Parties are weaker than they have been for a long time, so they couldn’t police these candidates”. “He’s the bulldozer candidate”.
Trump headed to flood-damaged Louisiana to express solidarity with residents cleaning up after devastating flooding that left at least 13 people dead. He took on Clinton and her strong support among American-Americans, and contended that his rival would rather give jobs to refugees than American citizens.

“Tonight, I am asking for the vote of every African-American citizen in this country who wants a better future”, Trump yesterday said at an election rally in MI during which he alleged that Clinton has done “nothing for them”. To those hurting, I say: “What do you have to lose by trying something new like Trump?” he read from a teleprompter at a MI rally. Stephen Bannon of Breitbart News is Trump’s third since he announced his candidacy this time a year ago and has come on board to let “Trump be Trump”.
