Trump may name Pence as running mate Tuesday
Presumptive Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump today said that he would name his vice presidential running mate in the next three-four days.

“I have five people, including the general”, Trump said, referring to Lt. Gen. Michael T. Flynn.
No matter who Trump taps, Kraushaar isn’t convinced that he or she will win over the “anti-Trump” Republicans who have vowed not to support him under any circumstances – even if the vice president pick is a mainstream Republican that the party establishment can get behind.
He said that Mr. Trump would “put people in his administration who understand that the rules in the country and the laws in this country apply to everyone, not just the least powerful but also the most powerful – they apply to everyone”.
Pence confirms he will be there for the Trump rally on Tuesday, and sounds a like a man ready to run.
Gov. Chris Christie spent Saturday meeting with the lawyer leading Donald Trump’s vice-presidential vetting effort, a decision-making process that’s expected to conclude within the next 3 or 4 days, the mogul told the Washington Post.
“The bottom line is it would make a tremendous choice for Trump to select Mike Pence”, he said.
Unlike, say, adding Ohio Gov. John Kasich to the ticket – something the former candidate for the Republican nomination has ruled out – Pence would not put a swing state in play. But last week, a separate report from NJ Advance Media suggested former House Speaker Newt Gingrich is “the likely pick” over Christie, who was seemingly being vetted as a courtesy.
Christie is said to be among a number of Republicans being considered as Trump’s running mate.
Indiana Governor Mike Pence is also said to be in his short-list.
Christie – who canceled a forum in New Jersey Monday to promote his school-funding plan – spoke before Trump, but he wasn’t the one to directly introduce him.
But the choice would also include the political baggage of an upcoming trial of two former Christie allies who shut down a ramp to the world’s busiest bridge for political reasons.
Critics of Nixon and subsequent Republican candidates who used the slogan described “law and order” as code words for cracking down on African Americans. The means that Pence would be giving up a strong chance to return to the governorship in order to play a role in a Trump campaign that is very, very far from being an assured success. “We need to clean out the corruption in government and Hillary Clinton will never be able to do it”, he said.

If offered the position, Mike Pence will have to decide quickly if he wants on the ticket. He told reporters Monday that he’s prepared to make the “case” for the presumed GOP presidential nominee “anywhere across the country that Donald Trump would want me to”.
