Donald Trump refuses to back down from his critical stance against Khizr and Ghazala Khan, the parents of fallen Army Captain Humayun S.M. Khan.

Making her most extensive statements about the Khan family since Trump criticised their convention appearance, Clinton expressed concerns about the GOP nominee’s character, saying he repaid a family that made the “ultimate sacrifice” with “nothing but insults” and “degrading comments about Muslims”.
“We need more candidates like Khizr Khan, not Donald Trump, to run for office in America”.
The Democratic president noted that leading Republicans, including Speaker of the House of Representatives Paul Ryan, Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell, and one-time Republican presidential nominee John McCain, a US senator from Arizona, had criticized Trump for his remarks but have stood by their endorsements of him.
As response, Trump questioned why the mother was not allowed to speak on stage at the Democratic convention.
In 2004, captain Humayun Khan lost his life in Iraq, while protecting the safety and well-being of his fellow American soldiers. I think I’ve made a lot of sacrifices.
During an emotional interview with MSNBC on Saturday, Ghazala Khan said she didn’t speak at the DNC because she continues to be overwhelmed with grief caused by her son’s death.
Donald Trump is no stranger to controversy, and this weekend the Republican candidate for President of the United States has outraged many by insulting the mother of a Muslim-American soldier, killed in Iraq.
Ghazala Khan, in an op-ed piece in the Washington Post, wrote that Trump did not know anything about Islam and sacrifice.
“I can not emphasize enough how deeply I disagree with Mr. Trump’s statement”. “I’d like to hear his wife say something”, Trump said. “We’re not talking about a difference in policy, we’re not talking about different approaches to complex problems – we’re talking about someone who’s not on a campaign but an ego trip”.
Scott, who recently agreed to become chairman of a super PAC backing Trump, as well as all three Cabinet members said they still intend to vote for Trump. “I begged him to be safe”. He insinuated that she was not allowed to say anything.
“Look for the words “liberty” and ‘equal protection of law, ‘” he said standing next to his wife, waving the paperback document vigorously.
“I think I’ve made a lot of sacrifices”, Trump told ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos.
“The love and affection that we have received affirms that our grief – that our experience in this country has been correct and positive”.

Clinton used her first television interview since officially clinching the Democratic nomination to cast Trump as dangerously pro-Russia and an unknown quantity for USA voters.
