Trump now says he was being sarcastic about Obama founding ISIS

The Republican Party candidate for the US presidency, Donald Trump, now says his controversial description of President Barack Obama as the founder of the Islamic State (IS) terrorist group was “sarcasm“.

In recent national polling, Clinton leads head-to-head match-ups against Trump, with the Democrat holding 47.5 percent support compared to 41.2 for the NY businessman, according to averages compiled by RealClear Politics.

But news organizations like CNN and Politifact didn’t fact check Hillary Clinton after she called Donald Trump the “recruiting sergeant” of ISIS back in April.

“When Hewitt suggested that Trump meant that “[Obama] created the vacuum, he lost the peace”. “I don’t think I’ve made too many errors”, he told CNBC.

“He gets the most valuable player award”. “It was Hillary Clinton that – she should get an award from them as the founder of ISIS”.

Hewitt: “But he’s not sympathetic to them. He hates them. He’s trying to kill them”, Hewitt said. “Perhaps he has given up on winning through civil means and does not care about the consequences of his campaign of incitement”, the editorial said. He was the founder.

Trump’s comments were seen as accusing Obama of creating conditions that allowed ISIS to thrive.

The problem is, the human-shaped mound of Doritos dust that is Donald Trump can not distance himself from the raw footage of the statement, nor the follow-up interview highlighted by CNN. E is for Egypt, L is for Libya, S is for Syria, R is for Russian Federation reset. “They’re the founders”, Trump said.

DT: No, it’s no mistake. And I give it to him, and I give it to, I gave the co-founder to Hillary. As you know this is a familiar cycle with him.

HH: I did. I did.

HH: I know what you’re arguing… “What happens when he presses the nuclear button and then the next day says, “Oh, I’m sorry, I was just being sarcastic”?”.

HH: All right, that’s okay.

“I meant he’s the founder of ISIS. I do”.

Obama, whom ISIS portrays as a top enemy.

“These are the founders of ISIS because of bad judgment”.

In an interview on Thursday morning, Trump defended the remarks. He doubled down and now a short time ago saying this was sarcasm.

On Friday, amid mounting outrage and accusations that Mr Trump was engaging in dog whistle politics, he claimed that he had simply been joking.
