Trump officially endorses Paul Ryan at stop in Green Bay
Trump said earlier this week in an interview with the Washington Post: “I like Paul, but these are frightful times for our country”.

The dividing lines appear to extend as far as the GOP ticket: Vice presidential nominee Mike Pence told Fox News on Wednesday that he endorses Ryan, contradicting Trump’s refusal to endorse Ryan on Tuesday. “John McCain for his service to our country in uniform and in public office, and I fully support and endorse his re-election”, the real estate mogul said Friday.
Paul Ryan, like other top Wisconsin Republicans, did not attend Mr Trump’s evening appearance in their state.
But then, Trump pointed out that he owes his success to his ability to put together “a really fantastic team” and stressed that he would need a Republican House and Senate to accomplish his agenda as president.
Trump also tried to mend relations with two Republican senators whom he’d criticized after they faulted him for attacking the Khans: John McCain of Arizona and Kelly Ayotte of New Hampshire.
Republican U.S. presidential nominee Donald Trump attends a campaign event at the Merrill Auditorium in Portland, Maine August 4, 2016.
Trump earlier this week refused to endorse Ryan, telling the Washington Post he was “not quite there yet” – almost the same phrase Ryan had used about Trump before finally endorsing him.
A former adviser to the governor of New Jersey, Chris Christie, himself an ally of Donald Trump, has also announced that it would vote for the former Secretary of State.
“What I told the Federal Bureau of Investigation, which he said was truthful, is consistent with what I have said publicly”, Clinton said.
“We don’t win at any level with anything and as a unified party, we will lead our country to unity, as well”, he added. He originally told the mother, “Don’t worry about that baby”, but as it continued bawling, the former reality TV star changed his mind: “Actually, I was only kidding, you can get the baby out of here”.
Ryan told WTMJ’s Charlie Sykes, a Wisconsin talk radio host, on Friday morning that he hadn’t spoken with Trump since the Republican convention ended last month.
At the event Ms Clinton did what she has rarely done during the presidential campaign: take questions from reporters.
“I may have short-circuited and for that I will try to clarify”, Clinton said, though still insisting she “never sent or received anything that was marked classified”. “To that end, I once again urge the leaders of all nations to visit the A-bombed cities”.
We’re past the point where things like this can be cast as Trump truly changing tack and shifting into general election mode.
“As Donald Trump has said stupid things and been rude to so many people over the past year, I usually chalked it up to inexperience and the spotlight of an incredibly hostile press”, Vos wrote.
Republicans have long anxious having Trump at the top of the ticket could negatively impact their party’s candidates in House and Senate races.

Many Republicans, including Mr Ryan, Mr McCain and Ms Ayotte, were critical of Mr Trump’s insistent attacks on the parents.
