Trump on Brexit: Britons ‘Took Back Control of Their Country’
Reporters from several major news organizations were denied access to a Donald Trump event in Scotland on Saturday. I really believe that, and I think that it’s happening in the United States.

“Delegates and alternates shall be bound to vote on the first ballot at the national convention for the candidate receiving the most votes in the primary unless that candidate releases those delegates and alternates from such vote”.
USA presidential candidate Donald Trump thrust himself into the heart of Britain’s vote to leave the European Union on Friday, calling it a “great” development and drawing parallels to his own insurgent campaign. At the time, it appeared that Trump was expanding his ban to include more people, not limiting its scope. In that speech, Trump did not mention Muslims and called for a temporary ban on “certain people coming from certain disgusting – where you have tremendous terrorism in the world, you know what those places are”.
“People in Scotland are not thrilled about Trump coming to their country”, Clinton posted on Twitter.
Hicks said in an email that her boss took this new position – which is a dramatic scaling back of the position he first took in early December – during a policy speech almost two weeks ago.
A Brexit supporter, Trump was happy to note the parallels to his own campaign when he reopened his golf course in Turnberry, Scotland, on Friday.
Hillary Clinton, the presumptive Democratic nominee, who has not yet weighed in on the results, also believed the United Kingdom should remain in the EU.
The referendum, which most British opinion polls had predicted was headed to defeat, was a wake-up call for Democrats who have been heartened by Clinton’s lead over Trump in opinion polls of late.
Global stock markets wobbled immediately after the vote, which experts warned could trigger a global recession and weaken the USA economy. The American electorate is far more diverse and Trump is deeply unpopular with minority voters, a serious weakness dogging his Republican candidacy.
“She can reflect some of the same sentiment that Trump and the Brexit forces tapped into but use it to her advantage”, Galen said.
Ewen MacAskill of the Guardian, who was able to attend a Trump press conference on Friday, said he was turned away on Saturday. Then they said he would only discuss the golf course.
Asked if he meant in the United States or United Kingdom, Trump said: “There’s plenty of other places”.
The highly educated, younger voters around London who voted to remain in the European Union, for example, share some commonalities with the American urbanites who were the pillars of Obama’s coalition.
President Barack Obama has spoken to British Prime Minster David Cameron and is confident the U.K.is committed to an orderly transition out of the European Union.
Keith Nolan doesn’t just teach history at the Maryland School for the Deaf – he aims to make it, by pushing the military to end its prohibition on deaf troops.

“The argument is you need a responsible grownup, but a large part of the world doesn’t want a responsible grownup”, said Tom Rath, a New Hampshire-based Republican strategist. “I am good at getting things zoned”.
