Trump On Ted Cruz: ‘I Don’t Want His Endorsement’
Prior to Donald Trump’s convention speech, I wondered, as I’m sure many did, if the GOP presidential nominee would we be able to stick to the prepared script or if he would veer off in ways unhelpful to his campaign’s ultimate goal.

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump used his remarks to campaign staffers and volunteers Friday to revive conspiracy theories linking Ted Cruz’s father with Lee Harvey Oswald, the man who killed President John F. Kennedy.
Trump delegate Cynthia Schaffer (SHAY’-fur) of Tinley Park says it was “terrible” that vanquished Trump rival Cruz didn’t formally endorse the NY real estate developer – which earned him boos from delegates at the event Wednesday night.
“That pledge was not a blanket commitment that if you go and slander and attack Heidi that I’m going to nonetheless come like a servile puppy dog and say ‘thank you very much for maligning my wife, ‘” Cruz said.
“In that poll, we saw that a large number of people that said they supported Cruz in the primary were willing to vote for Trump in the general election”, Henson said.
You can see the whole Cruz riff below, if you can stomach more Trump. I’ll be talking about many different things.
While the convention and Trump’s acceptance speech have been criticized for attacks on Clinton and focusing on people’s fears over their safety and home and overseas, Thompson said those are the subjects that voters want answers to.
Bruce Starr, a former state lawmaker who also worked on Kasich’s local leadership team, said he and the other Kasich delegates huddled on the convention floor and agreed to instead support Trump “in order to create at least an impression of order and party unity”.
And then, suddenly, Trump returned to it Friday. Duke ripped Cruz, calling him “Lyin’ Ted Cruz” and a “Goldman Sachs slave” (ie. a Jew) for his speech.
“Honestly, he may have ruined his political career, I feel so badly”, Trump said.
“I don’t know his father, I met him once”, Trump began, referencing Cruz’s father, Rafael Cruz.
And, Trump continued, the National Enquirer is usually a pretty reliable source of information. “That said, he did get dinged up a little bit, as did I think everybody in the primary process”. Trump’s only involvement in the story, he insisted, is that he “might have pointed it out”.
I’m no fan of Donald Trump.
“Ted never denied that it was his father”, Trump told the room, which CBS News” Sopan Deb reports was largely silent while Trump went on.
Despite Trump’s claims to the contrary on Friday, Cruz and his campaign did in fact deny that the photo was of his father.

‘He’ll come and endorse. “He’s got good intellect, but he doesn’t know how to use it. And he was a good debater, but he didn’t do well in the debates against me, according to every poll”.
