“No harm was meant”, Meredith McIver said in a statement emailed out today by the Trump’s presidential campaign. But he said he believes Trump may have more support in Utah than those results suggest.

After two nights of low-energy speeches, the crowd packed into the arena was noticeably more energetic Wednesday night, dancing in the aisles and waving signs reading, “America Deserves Better Than Hillary”. Organizers say speakers will “discuss the Republican vision for a new century of American leadership and excellence”.
“This is really an honor, and we’re going to win Ohio”, Trump told supporters at a brief arrival ceremony after greeting his children and running mate Mike Pence.
The media is spending more time doing a forensic analysis of Melania’s speech than the Federal Bureau of Investigation spent on Hillary’s emails.
While Pence is expected to make the case that Clinton is unfit for the White House, officials said his speech will not be a full-throated takedown in the style of earlier speakers. “(But) not voting for Trump would be voting for Hillary”. Cruz aides made clear that they did not support efforts to strip Trump of the nomination, but the activity of Lee and a key Cruz adviser – Ken Cuccinelli – in behind-the-scenes hijinks muddied the waters about where Cruz stood, especially since he declined to ever disavow the machinations.
Social conservatives trust his vice presidential candidate, but joint appearances between the two men have been awkward. John McCain – are not participating.
One of the biggest questions looming over day three of Trump’s convention is what tone his primary rival Ted Cruz will strike when he addresses the convention Wednesday. “Lyin’ Ted” was a familiar Trump refrain.
Team Trump at first adamantly denied that there was any plagiarism – but fessed up Wednesday when McIver admitted the mistake.
McIver said in her statement that Michelle Obama is a person Melania Trump “has always liked”. “I wrote them down and later included some of the phrasing in the draft that ultimately became the final speech”, she said.
“I think when Gov. Pence speaks, it will be a familiar tone and one that resonates with Utahns”, the Draper Republican said. But before the event started, I overheard a pair of Cruz delegates worrying that Cruz might get booed by Trump delegates when he takes the convention stage.
The Trump organization staffer who has taken responsibility for the bungled speech that was supposed to be the most important address at the Republican National Convention is a former ballerina and longtime trusted colleague of the GOP nominee.
On Tuesday, delegates formally selected Trump and Pence as their candidates. Cruz has effectively placed a risky bet that the Republican Party will judge Trump harshly and reward him in the new era for not caving.
