Trump picks up more unbound GOP delegates
Cruz exited the 2016 race last week after losing the primary contest in IN, a state his campaign had long painted as a must-win in order to stay the course. “If that changes, we will certainly respond accordingly”.

“I want you to know: The minute you un-suspend your campaign, John Kasich would, too”, Beck said. It won’t be Cruz’s political wake, but the anticipation of bigger things to come for Texas’ brightest conservative star will be tempered by Donald Trump so recently bouncing Cruz from the presidential race.
Cruz is not actively campaigning in Nebraska, and would still not have a path to victory even if he managed to win (he was mathematically eliminated from contention long before he suspended his campaign).
Still shaken by Donald Trump’s triumph, Republican and conservative foes of the billionaire can still cause headaches for the party’s presumptive presidential nominee at this summer’s GOP convention.
Sitting down with Glenn Beck on Beck’s radio show, Cruz discussed the possibility of restarting his campaign.
In an email to convention delegates backing the Texas GOP senator, Cruz adviser Ken Cuccinelli says those at the July gathering in Cleveland will have a chance “to strengthen and protect the conservative elements” of the party’s platform – a statement of the party’s policy goals that does not bind the presidential nominee.
Asked if he would endorse Trump, Cruz said every voter needs to make their own choice and they do not need to make it now. Some opponents suggest they may challenge his choice, either as a protest or to try forcing him to make a different selection.

Then again, Cruz would need just 133% of the remaining delegates to take the outright nomination himself.
