Trump polls ahead of Clinton
Republican nominee Donald Trump said at his party’s convention. Besides the plan, Trump also attacked Democratic rival Hilary Clinton, and some in the crowd joined in.

A caveat at the outset: The GOP convention was, as was to be expected, very anti-Clinton. Trump has been echoing that theme for weeks, making appeals to disenchanted Sanders supporters. Trump has done the same, and has also said some Baltic members of North Atlantic Treaty Organisation might be on their own if Russian Federation decide to invade.
Presidential candidates usually get a boost in popularity following their party conventions.
It is not clear what set of emails Trump is referring to. “Bernie has given up. What I do know is that Donald Trump has repeatedly expressed admiration for Vladimir Putin”. “But you know, he’s all in for Hillary now”.
It hasn’t been a good week of polling for Hillary Clinton.
Also during the press conference, Trump said he would “be looking into” recognizing Crimea as Russian territory, as well as lifting the sanctions against the country for its actions in Ukraine. “Just look at her invasion of Libya and her handling of Benghazi”. He said blaming Russian Federation was deflecting attention from the embarrassing material in the emails.
Trump introduced his running mate Mike Pence, before giving a 30-minute speech in which he addressed veterans’ affairs, immigration, trade and terrorism. The outcry over the emails led to the resignation of Democratic Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz.
Trump said: “If Russia or China or any other country has those emails, I mean, to be honest with you”.
Clinton has handed over about 30,000 work-related emails to the State Department, but she deleted about half of her emails that were “personal” in nature.
And a week after stressing how humble he is, Donald Trump released a new online video over the weekend on the amount of applause his convention speech received last week – which might, just might, reinforce concerns about his over-the-top narcissism.
MSNBC didn’t have such a drastic gap in coverage, but they still slanted towards the former first lady by a margin of almost three to one. “This man will name our enemies without apology, and he will defeat them”.
Regardless, this is the not first time Trump has stolen a spotlight. “I hope they do”, Trump told reporters on Wednesday at a press conference in Florida. “But he did too many things in the past to hurt the veterans”.

Many are still smarting over Clinton’s remarks in 2015 that while the wait times and delays at the Veterans Administration did exist, the problem was not as widespread as media accounts portrayed, and that Republicans were using the scandal to try to privatize the VA.
