Trump promises his presidency will bring ‘safety’
Donald Trump conjured a dire picture Thursday of an America sliding deeper into poverty, violence and corruption and declared himself the only person who could avert disaster.

By night’s end, Trump’s campaign hopes voters see the real estate mogul as a candidate who, despite his unorthodox political temperament, is prepared to lead the nation. “I’m looking for those things that can help me feel comfortable about the nominee”, she said.
Cruz lost the IN primary, dropped out of the race, and never formally endorsed Trump like some other failed 2016 Republican candidates did.
After a convention with a shaky start, Trump gave the speech of a lifetime.
During the speech, Clinton couldn’t let Trump get all the attention.
Only a change in leadership will fix the mess at home and overseas, he said. “I really have no idea”, Ryan said at an event in Cleveland. I have to tell you.
Hillary Clinton will continue the Obama administration policies on the disastrous Affordable Care Act legislation, selecting liberal Supreme Court justices, raising taxes, growing government, continuing to be politically correct, decimating our military, and allowing more illegal aliens to enter the country among other issues. He concluded, “This is the legacy of Hillary Clinton: death, destruction and weakness”. “Beginning on January 20 (Inauguration Day), safety will be restored”.
As he moves into the general election campaign, he’s sticking to the controversial proposals of his primary campaign, including building a wall along the entire U.S. -Mexico border and suspending immigration from nations “compromised by terrorism”.
But in a nod to a broader swath of Americans, he said young people in predominantly black cities “have as much of a right to live out their dreams as any other child in America”. He also vowed to protect gays and lesbians from violence and oppression, a pledge that was greeted with applause from the crowd.
“It was Trumpian words and rhythms, but he knows the people he’s appealing to – the working people of this country”, Cox said.
On Google, there were more searches for Ivanka Trump than for her father.
Ivanka, a senior executive in her father’s business, the Trump Organization, noted that the company has more female than male executives.
The Texas senator refused to endorse Trump during his Wednesday speech, even as delegates loudly jeered him from the convention floor.
Smith, of Tulsa, said, “Ted Cruz delivered a powerful speech on the principles of freedom and the platform of our party”.
Donald Trump takes the stage on the last day of the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, Ohio, the United States, July 21, 2016.
“He laid out a vision for America, one with promise”, said Bill Reilich, Monroe County GOP chair and Greece town supervisor.
“So Ted Cruz took his speech that was done, was on the Teleprompter, said ‘Hello, ‘ then made a statement that wasn’t on the speech, then went back to his speech”, Trump said.
He mentioned that his tax plan offered the largest tax cut of any candidate, for example, but said nothing about the mountain of new debt that plan would create. The GOP in the past has supported free trade agreements.
“These are the forgotten men and women of our country”, he said.
Marco Rubio, Bobby Jindal, Paul Ryan and Scott Walker were the people who would supposedly synthesize conservative ideals and then offer a compelling, modern, principled, political case.
At every turn, Trump drew sharp contrasts with Clinton, casting her as both unqualified for the presidency and too tied to Washington elites to understand voters’ struggles.
For example, when asked in March about worldwide trade, the same number of Republicans said it “creates jobs” as said it “causes job losses”.

“My father not only has the strength and ability necessary to be the next president, but also the kindness and compassion that will enable him to be the leader that this country needs”.
