Trump pulls Cruz ad, puts up positive spot

The children playing with the Trump action figure then smash down a “lousy” dollhouse using eminent domain.

Ted Cruz’s national spokesman called Donald Trump’s bid for the White House “the Seinfeld candidacy” Wednesday night, saying that the entire campaign “is about nothing”.

The ad flashes to an October 16 Washington Post article about Trump’s ties to the mob in Atlantic City, and slams the real estate mogul for having “bankrolled politicians to steamroll the little guy – a pattern of sleaze stretching back decades”.

The issue, which has always been criticized by conservatives, has become a frequent source of criticism for Trump on the campaign trail.

The children then proceed, much to their parents’ horror, to destroy the doll house while screaming “eminent domain!” The effort failed but Jeb Bush brought it up during the last GOP debate in New Hampshire as the wrong use of taking property for a private project.

“And a lot of the big conservatives that tell me how conservative they are, I think I’m more than they are, they tell me, oh, well, they all want the Keystone pipeline”, he said.

Both Trump and Cruz are eying key primaries in southern states starting with SC, which holds its primary February 20. Based on limited polling from the southern state, Trump so far has a sizable lead there.

The attacks between Cruz and Trump, who tried to be civil to each other early in the election cycle, have escalated as the stakes – as well as Cruz’s standing in the polls – have risen.
