Trump’s fundraising efforts are led by Campaign Finance Chairman Steven Mnuchin and his Republican Nation Committee counterpart Lew Eisenberg.

His fundraising for the last week of May and for the month of June reached $55 million, which included another $25 million for the Republican Party. On its last report to the Federal Election Commission, the Trump campaign reported holding just .89 million as of May 31 – versus $42.5 million reported by Hillary Clinton’s campaign.
Clinton went after Trump in her speech on a litany of issues, including three bankruptcies involving Trump’s old casinos.
The Clinton campaign’s access to cash has enabled it to spend tens of millions of dollars more than Trump to build up voter contact operations and run advertisements ahead of the November election. Nonetheless, Trump’s haul will comfort that portion of the Republican Establishment that is fine with nominating a pseudo-fascist, just not one who can’t raise money.
The figures were reported as Trump continues to search for a running mate to fill out the Republican ticket.
The announcement came a day after Corker met with Trump and his team in NY and the same day another potential candidate, Iowa Sen. While he is now expected to announce his choice before the convention, the public appearances with possible choices seem a bit like the high-stakes competition he fostered in previous careers as reality television star and beauty pageant host.
Trump says the use of “the chapter laws of our country” is a standard practice employed by the “country’s elite business people” and helped to save jobs. “I don’t even need commercials, if you want to know the truth”.
And unlike many of those lawmakers who have said they won’t be at the Republican National Convention to be later this month, Walker has confirmed that he will be speaking at the quadrennial gathering in Cleveland.
Trump spent Tuesday with Corker, inviting the chair of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee to briefly join him onstage in Raleigh.
Corker said he’d spent about eight hours with Trump on Tuesday, meeting with several of his children and aides in NY. The two men were a study in contrasts, as Corker stood at least a foot shorter than the billionaire businessman and spoke in slow, deliberate phrases instead of Trump’s rapid-fire braggadocio. “The rallies that I have back home aren’t quite like this”.

“The first significant action a presidential nominee takes in putting together his or her administration is selecting a VP”, said Beth Myers, who helmed Romney’s search.
