Trump ramps up minority outreach with Philadelphia visit
Trump, speaking to a almost all-white audience, painted African-Americans with a stereotypically broad brush as “living in poverty”.

If you still have some energy left come Monday, former President Bill Clinton is expected to be in MI, though details surrounding his visit have yet to be announced. Throughout his campaign, the 2016 Republican presidential nominee has appeared mostly in front of white audiences, and he has been criticized for ignoring black voters.
“If anybody knows, we know”.
In a series of interviews and social media posts over the past week, Bishop Wayne T. Jackson has defended his decision to invite Trump to his church and to be interviewed on Jackson’s television channel, Impact Network.
Donald Trump’s visit to a black church here Saturday will be a major moment for a candidate with a history of offending the sensibilities of black Americans. Trump has refused to speak to the NAACP and many other African American organizations, instead attempting to ingratiate himself with Black religious leaders, using them as props for his presidential aspirations. “We wanted to get Donald Trump”, Shabazz said. “But I think their concern is that you’re going to have a lot of people coming in there and having intense fellowship or protesters”. In Ohio, in MI, in Virginia and in Wisconsin, Trump has been market-testing his new sales pitch to African-American voters, perhaps recognizing how badly he is doing in minority demographics from Miami-Dade and Broward County to communities across the United States. “None of this is real outreach to the African-American community”.
“There have been questionable shootings of unarmed, young black men”. President Barack Obama, the nation’s first black president, won at least 95 percent and 93 percent of the black vote in his two victories, sending Republicans to historical lows among African-Americans, according to exit polls. He says Trump’s history shows a candidate against the African-American community.
So, when White Republican Donald Trump exposes the subtle classism and racism of the liberal Democrat establishment, they can huff, puff, and call him and his supporters racists all they want, but they can’t deny the truth! “We need to be true to our word and offer all Americans more opportunities so that each and every one of them can reach their full potential”.
The Jackson event would only have some measure of credibility if voters are the focus of the engagement and can present Trump with questions in a setting without any filters.
Since the conventions, the Clinton campaign has grappled with a series of controversies related to her tenure at the State Department and increased scrutiny of its overlap with the Clinton Foundation – challenges which may have contributed to her fading poll numbers.

Jackson said the interview with the New York City billionaire is something he needed to do for his audience. In fact, I applaud him. “We’re going to do the best we can to have a Republican win in Pennsylvania, which hasn’t happened in a long time”. “Men and women of God in the African-American Community have discernment and will see through the desperation”.
