Trump receives Purple Heart, says he’s ‘always wanted one’
At a campaign event in Virginia on Tuesday, a veteran gave his Purple Heart medal to Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump. “I have such confidence in you, ‘” Trump told the crowd at a campaign rally in Ashburn, Virginia, Tuesday. “This was much easier”, continued the celebrity businessman, who has never served in the armed forces.

Trump avoided the US military draft during the Vietnam War thanks to four student deferments and one medical deferment after he was diagnosed with bone spurs in his heels, The New York Times reported Monday.
