Trump refuses to debate; calls Fox’s Kelly ‘a lightweight’
Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump said Tuesday to not count on him showing up to the Fox News Debate Thursday, reported Politico. He said Kelly is a third-rate reporter who is bad at her job and shouldn’t be allowed to participate.

“You’ve called women you don’t like “fat pigs, ‘ ‘dogs, ‘ ‘slobs” and ‘disgusting animals, ‘” Kelly said during the first debate, before Trump interjected, “Only Rosie O’Donnell”. “I think she is very biased and I don’t think she’s going to treat me fairly”, said Trump.
His dispute with Ms Kelly stems from the first Republican debate, hosted by Fox in August, when he claimed he was subjected to unfair questioning by her and to negative commentary since then.
He said: “He’s definitely not participating in the Fox News debate”. Many supporters wrote that they thought the Fox News moderators, Kelly in particular, seemed determined to take down Trump.
“They can’t toy with me like they toy with everybody else”. Like any reasonable parent, Fox refused to give in to the tantrum and confirmed that Kelly would remain a debate moderator.
Trump has threatened to boycott debates in the past.
“Let’s see how much money Fox is going to make on the debate without me, okay?”
“I’m not 100 percent, I’ll see”, Trump said.
Driven largely by a curiosity in the unpredictable Mr Trump, a reality TV star, the debates have drawn millions of viewers.
For all his bravado and bluster, there appears to be one thing that genuinely unnerves Donald Trump: Megyn Kelly.
Trump was further threatening to hold his own event in Iowa Thursday night, which he hopes to have televised to punish Fox competitively.
Afterwards Trump suggested Kelly treated him unfairly because she was menstruating.
After The Wrap picked up Trump’s Instagram post, Fox News sent a statement back to them that straight up makes fun of the frontrunner and his pretensions. Cruz, of Texas, is in second place.
“You know, I had no intention of doing anything other than having a convenient way of communicating, and it turned out not to be so convenient”, Clinton said during the Iowa Town Hall Meeting.

On stage at Tuesday’s campaign rally, Trump only alluded to the news his campaign had just broken moments before. The billionaire candidate told the Boston Globe’s James Pindell that he had spoken with Fox News Chairman Roger Ailes and said Kelly “should recuse herself” from the debate.
