Trump Releases Doctor’s Letter: ‘Excellent Physical Health’
Before the show, Mr Trump’s campaign released the latest letter from Dr Bornstein in which he said that the Republican candidate, who would be the oldest U.S. president elected if he won the November 8th election, was “in excellent physical health”.

Dr. Harold Bornstein said the 70-year-old candidate weighs 236 pounds, which is overweight for his 6-foot-3 height. Trump also takes a low dose aspirin and a statin, rosuvastatin, used for lowering cholesterol.
Trump does not use alcohol or tobacco, the letter said.
In a letter dated September 13, his doctor reveals previously undisclosed details about the presidential candidate’s health.
The letter adds that Trump’s liver and thyroid tests are normal and that results from a 2013 colonoscopy, as well as an EKG and chest X-ray from this past April, were also normal. Dr. Oz pointed out that Trump, if elected, would be the oldest person to enter the Oval Office.
As part of the show, Trump spoke broadly about his health care agenda, and said women should be able to purchase birth control without a doctor’s prescription, according to the Associated Press. Trump’s lab results show that his cholesterol at 169, with his HDL cholesterol 62, LDL cholesterol 94. “If I had one thing I’d like to lose weight – it’s tough because of the way I live but the one thing I would like to do is drop 15-20lbs, it would be good”. Trump’s campaign has said he will also release more medical information to the public.
The campaign released two pages of documents – a cover letter from a hospital and another page of test results – that Trump discussed with television doctor Mehmet Oz during the Wednesday taping of a program airing Thursday.
The letter doesn’t disclose other information typically included in health reports, such as details about Trump’s eating and exercise habits and vaccination history.
Asked to describe his parents’ health, Trump said his father had developed Alzheimer’s toward the end of his life and his “heart never stopped”.
The renewed scrutiny over each candidate’s medical history and physical health comes after Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton abruptly left a 9/11 memorial service on Sunday.
And, if you believe that, I’ve got some Dr. Oz-approved hot pepper jelly to sell you.
Bornstein, a gastroenterologist whose specialty is the digestive tract, is the same doctor who wrote Trump’s earlier four-paragraph letter that declared Trump would be the “healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency”.

Trump said that when you’re running for president, “you have an obligation to be healthy” because the job requires it.
