Trump responds to Clinton attacks: ‘Shame on you’

Cooper, unsatisfied with Trump’s explanation, pressed the divisive nominee on his reasoning by defining the term.

She went on to recount past litigation he’s faced for alleged discriminatory business practices, saying “the pattern continued through the decades”.

Clinton said she doesn’t expect any more political distractions to arise from her use of a private server. “She is all talk, no action. But she doesn’t do anything”.

“The people of this country who want their laws enforced and respected, respected by all, and who want their borders secured are not racist”, Trump said. She dubbed the billionaire businessman’s campaign as one that will “make America hate again”.

The Democratic presidential nominee suggested in an interview that the group’s programs would continue, perhaps through other organizations, even as critics argue it would present a conflict of interest if she’s elected president.

She read some of the right-wing site’s headlines, including “Birth Control Makes Women Unattractive and Crazy” and “Hoist It High and Proud: The Confederate Flag Proclaims a Glorious Heritage”, which was published in the wake of the shooting at a predominantly black church in Charleston previous year.

During her Friday morning interview, hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski relentlessly pressed her with questions on the topic. Luckily Anderson wasn’t going to let him skate on his baseless claims, asking, “But it does imply that she has antipathy, that she has hatred toward, I guess in this case you’re talking about African Americans”, Coop queried. And Donald Trump just a short time ago, pressed to explain why he thinks she’s a bigot. “If you’re president, you can’t”. “Look at the rise in violence”. “Or dislike of African-Americans?” he asked.

The former Secretary of State took aim at Mr Trump’s week-long effort to reach out to black voters.

“We’re going to make sure we don’t undermine the excellence and the results”, she said.

Trump spokesman Jason Miller described Clinton’s attacks as a “desperation play”.

The speech represented a deepening of Clinton’s strategy of separating Trump from the rest of his party. “To presidential politics now and a day of explosive rhetoric on the campaign trail, ” stated anchor Lester Holt, “Hillary Clinton unloading on Donald Trump in a blistering speech saying, quote, “he is taking hate groups mainstream and helping the radical fringe take over the Republican Party”.
