Trump returns to Fox News after Republican debate flap

Trump has been digging in his heels since last Thursday’s nationally broadcast Fox News debate as his rivals work to navigate a GOP presidential primary campaign that has been dominated by reaction to one of his bellicose statements after the next.

As a moderator during Thursday night’s first GOP presidential debate, Kelly asked several questions that dug into Trump’s history of misogyny.

As you can see from the second video embedded below, Trump hated being challenged like that. But that’s your first question and then the next question was asking this billionaire about four deals that failed and then the third was really a political speech that was veiled as a question with a zinger at the end going, so tell me, when did you become a Republican?

Critics say Trump’s comment was a direct attack Kelly as a woman, and appeared to be implying that he thought she was hormonal. Kelly added that she was willing to put the “dustup” behind her. “Mr. Trump, I expect, will continue with what has been a successful campaign thus far”.

Trump stirred more controversy Friday when he said on CNN that Kelly “had blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her wherever” during the debate. The Internet is not buying it though. “And yes, it is offensive”, Fiorina, the former Hewlett-Packard executive, said in an interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper aired Sunday on “State of the Union”. And that got him thrown off the program Saturday at the RedState gathering of conservatives. “I want to run as a Republican But I do want to keep that door open in case I don’t get treated fairly”.

“What I said was totally appropriate”, Trump said on NBC’s “Meet the Press”.

“I think a lot of feminist groups tend to prove that they’re humorless”, Erickson replied. “Within twenty-four hours he was calling Kelly a “bimbo, ‘ which played directly to the stereotype in Kelly’s questioning – a stereotype he could have pivoted by talking about the number of women employed by Trump’s businesses, etc”. Reuters latest poll numbers released Monday August 10, 2015 show Trump coming into the debate with 24% and emerging after the debate with the same numbers.

Still, Meyers noted that Trump is distracting voters from his competitors’ comments about women and women’s health, including stances by Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio. I was not asked about uh, you know nuclear, I was not asked about all of the problems. Very disappointed in Fox News.

Another “Apprentice” alum, Katrina Campins, also defending Trump, saying, “I don’t think he has a problem with women”.
