Trump reveals physical results on ‘Dr. Oz’

Trump on Wednesday gave Oz the results of his most recent medical exam during a much-anticipated taping of “The Dr. Oz Show” that will air Thursday.

“If elected, Mr. Trump, I can state unequivocally, will be the healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency”, Dr. Harold N. Bornstein, Trump’s doctor, wrote in the final paragraph of the medical report, which was dated December 4 but not released until Monday, according to New York Times.

Trump, who is 6 foot 3 inches tall, weighs 107 kilograms, and his liver and thyroid functions are “all within the normal range”, the report said.

Clinton released a letter from her physician, Dr. Lisa Bardack, on Wednesday that said, in part, that Clinton is “healthy and fit to serve as president of the United States”.

The show released a clip of Trump’s appearance Wednesday afternoon in which Oz asked Trump, “If your health is as strong as it seems from your systems, why not share your medical records?”.

Trump was hospitalized only once, the letter said, as an 11-year-old, to have his appendix removed.

The renewed scrutiny over each candidate’s medical history and physical health comes after Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton abruptly left a 9/11 memorial service on Sunday.

Meanwhile, she’s said she’ll release more medical records.

But Laurance Rassin, an audience member, said Trump’s cholesterol was “under 170” and better than his own.

Promises from the Trump campaign of greater transparency about the GOP nominee’s health fizzled Wednesday amid a blizzard of conflicting statements from the campaign and nearly comical levels of TV puffery.

Trump, who for months has publicly raised questions about Clinton’s health, today, during an event in OH, again mentioned Clinton’s fainting spell. And today, in an interview with The Dr. Oz Show, he said that he supports making birth control available without a prescription.

“Dr. Oz did say that if he had a patient with this report he’d send them on his way”, Rassin, a Trump supporter told CNN. She is expected to return to the campaign trail on Thursday.

“I think if I had one thing, I’d like to lose weight”.

Notably, under NHS guidelines and the Body Mass Index, Trump’s weight and height would mean he is considered overweight and bordering on obese.
