Trump formally introduced Pence as his running mate on Saturday in NY.

Less than a day after revealing a suggestive logo for his campaign, Donald Trump released a new one Saturday when he formally announced Indiana Gov. Mike Pence as his running mate.

One year ago, however, extended negotiations with the federal government over Indiana’s eventual expansion of Medicaid under the Affordable Care Act led to sharp condemnation from Republican lawmakers.

Pence is then seen leaning toward Trump, who waves his hand and tells him, “You could say yes”.

Trump has repeatedly castigated Clinton, the presumptive Democratic nominee, for voting in 2002 to authorize military force in Iraq.

The interview was similar to Trump and Pence’s first campaign appearance together on Saturday, in which Trump barely mentioned his running mate.

But while Mr Trump said his choice was partially driven by a desire to promote “party unity”, he took a moment to attack the so-called “Never Trump” delegates attending next week’s Republican National Convention.

But Trump signaled his support for the war a month before both Clinton and Pence voted to authorize it, in an interview on Howard Stern’s radio program.

During the July 16 press conference, Trump compared the governor to Hillary Clinton and President Barack Obama. The rumors were that he was still deciding between New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, Newt Gingrich, and Pence.

“No. She’s not”, Trump said.

“So I’m here today to introduce the man who will be my partner on the campaign and in the White House to fix our rigged system and to make America safe again and great again”, Trump said. He also strongly declared that Trump is the leader “to build a stronger America”.

Trump described meeting with Pence’s family, including his wife and daughter, as part of the motivation for selecting him as a running mate.

Trump dismissed concerns that the Republican party is divided on his candidacy. “Hillary Clinton – you better believe it. Hillary Clinton is a crook”.
