Trump rips Cruz while boasting of convention ‘love’
The US is facing multiple threats to its security that only Donald Trump can confront and repel, he is expected to say as he accepts the Republican presidential nomination. “In this election, do the right thing, vote your conscience, vote for your future, vote for a United States of America”.

Promoting her father’s brand is familiar territory for Ivanka Trump, who has both advocated for and defended her father throughout his campaign. “This is the legacy of Hillary Clinton: death, destruction terrorism and weakness, but Hillary Clinton’s legacy doesn’t have to be America’s legacy”.
But Trump appeared to dispute that on Friday morning, saying Cruz went off-script at the convention.
Trump pledged as president to restore a sense of public safety, strictly curb immigration and save the nation from Clinton’s record of “death, destruction, terrorism and weakness”.
“No one knows the system better than me”, he said.
Trump said he had known about the contents of Cruz’s prepared speech – after reading a copy of it – but allowed him to take the stage anyway Wednesday night despite the lack of endorsement.
“I didn’t start anything with the wife”, Trump said, referring to a pro-Cruz super PAC that circulated a photo before the Utah caucuses of Trump’s wife, Melania, posing naked in GQ in 2000.
The deep rift running at this week’s Republican National Convention nominating Trump for president, “is extraordinarily unusual”, Robert Shapiro, a professor and former chair of the Department of Political Science at Columbia University, told Xinhua. Ted Cruz on Friday, rehashing a long list of grievances from their primary battle during a news conference only hours after he accepted the Republican Party’s presidential nomination at a weeklong convention meant to unite the party.
As president, Trump said he would avoid multinational trade deals but instead pursue agreements with individual countries.
With 70% of women telling pollsters they disapprove of Trump, it was left to Ivanka to speak to a cohort of voters her father has so fully alienated.
“Folks, a lot of us are political people”, Trump said. It was a suggestion Trump first floated during their heated primary battle – one that cause Cruz to explode in anger at the real-estate mogul at the time.
Cruz, who has questioned Trump’s commitment to conservative principles, has also called the Republican nominee a paranoid conspiracy monger.
“Trump will get a convention bump, as most nominees do, but it won’t be large enough to promote a sustained rise in his approval numbers”.
Whether you support Trump or not, you should probably support facts.
“I am not in the habit of supporting people who attack my wife and attack my father”, Cruz said this week.
On Monday, the convention’s opening day, a group of anti-Trump delegates that included Cruz backers tried to force a roll call vote on convention rules in a bid to force an “open convention” in which they could vote for any candidate they wanted.
“I feel so badly, I feel so badly”, Trump said. “They’re so honest… They’re such honorable people…”
