Trump’s campaign reached out to Paul Ryan

Donald Trump’s momentum from Super Tuesday, which appeared to slow only in Texas and states bordering it, hits no roadblocks in Louisiana in advance of Saturday’s presidential primary. But, more pointedly, he is laying out an even bigger problem for Donald Trump: The Republican Party will keep on fighting him all the way through this primary season. Texas Senator Ted Cruz won three states-Texas, Alaska, and Oklahoma, while Florida Senator Marco won one: Minnesota. For Rubio, it is an unconvincing win, Minnesota is a relatively small state and its caucus system (similar to Iowa) makes it make it unreflective of the general voting base.

Among other proposals, Trump has suggested banning Muslims from entering the United States and building a wall between America and Mexico.

On the Democratic side, Clinton touted her strong finishes across the board, winning in states with diverse Democratic electorates.

According to the results, Hilary Clinton won Georgia, Virginia, Alabama, Massachusetts, Tennessee, Texas and Arkansas.

Sanders promised to take his fight all the way to the summer nominating convention.

My other takeaway from Super Tuesday is that the Republican Party is now on life support. And talk of this, quote, unquote, “ceiling”, you know, really might be a myth. I mean, he won in places as diverse as Georgia and MA, though he won bigger margins with people who had high school or – high school degrees or less. He won the most states.

Delegates to the convention choose the presidential nominee.

Carson has also rejected calls to exit the race, telling supporters that “we still have millions of Americans who are saying on Facebook, ‘you can not leave us'”.

Then Trump, 69, took over the spotlight to boast about how well he’s been doing on the campaign trail thus far.

The possibility of a contested convention, which would come if no candidate claims a majority of delegates before the July convention, could wreak havoc on the Republicans- particularly if Trump has an overwhelming delegate lead that’s just short of the needed majority. “This is one of the most consequential presidential elections we’ve had in a long time”, Hillary told the crowd of over 5,000.

Cruz said he is the only candidate who has shown he can beat Trump, having done so also in Iowa.

“If Hillary Clinton does not consistently win in the weeks and months ahead, in big states and in small, questions will arise around her candidacy”, Devine predicted.
