The letter is the latest chapter in a back-and-forth between Trump and his opponent, Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, which has taken on the tone of a contest to see who can release the most medical information showing them fit and healthy. “We play golf together-the great quarterback; he’s a phenomenal guy, great athlete”, Trump said, plugging his relationship, as he does often, with the Patriots quarterback and longtime golfing buddy. He said that when he’s with the 39-year-old Brady, “I feel I’m the same age as him”.

“All these questions that were vital in 2008, now it’s Trump it’s like ‘No worries, it’s cool, ‘ ” he said.

Trump’s appearance on the show, announced by the mogul on Monday, comes after Hillary Clinton’s disclosure that she had been suffering from pneumonia. Trump said that gesticulating and speaking in front of large crowds turns very physical and that “a lot of times these rooms are very hot, like saunas, and I guess that is a form of exercise”.
“It’s nearly like a political shortcut”, he said, “a strategy of, ‘Nope you’re guilty too, let’s move to the next question'”.
Pence was asked at a news conference with House Republican leaders in Washington whether he wanted to amend comments he made on CNN the previous day.

Thursday’s letter doesn’t disclose any previous health conditions Trump has had, except that his only hospitalization was for a childhood appendectomy.
