Trump’s focuses on changes in programs for military veterans
Trump praised the nation’s police officers, promising to defend those who defend the country. But the law in question was so obscure that Republicans had already made a decision to allocate delegates in a proportional fashion, based on the results of the state’s March 1 primary, which Trump won.

The attack in Dallas was an attack on the country, he said. “The guiding principle of the Trump plan is ensuring veterans have convenient access to the best quality care”.
Judge Robert Payne in Virginia’s Eastern District Court ruled Monday afternoon that the state can not punish GOP delegate Beau Correll if he votes for a different candidate on the convention floor.
He also pledged to protect “honest, dedicated” agency employees from retribution and see they are in line for promotion as a reward for good work; set up a “private White House hotline” for complaints, which he will personally address if the department leadership can not; prevent bad employees and managers from receiving bonuses, reform the visa program for foreign workers and give veterans top priority in employment; and increase the number of mental health care facilities and care workers for veterans.
During a press call on Monday, Arizona’s Rep. Ruben Gallego, an Iraq War veteran, reminded reporters of Trump’s comments about Sen.
“Veterans know this and that’s why they overwhelmingly want to keep the VA health care they have”.
He said he wanted to revise civil service rules to allow VA officials to be fired or disciplined if they did not do their jobs, and would pay bonuses to VA employees who found ways to save money and improve care.
Helping US Vets is a Key element of Donald Trump’s campaign.
Trump said Monday he and McCain “work together fine”, and said he is considering Florida Rep. Jeff Miller, the chairman of the House Veterans Affairs Committee, as a possible VA secretary.
Donald Trump met privately with Texas senator Ted Cruz, who was his fierce rival at the end of the contentious GOP primary, and the two agreed that Cruz would speak at the GOP convention in Cleveland.
Virginia Beach delegate and congressional hopeful, Scott Taylor, says Trump’s message could resonate with the more than 780,000 veterans in the commonwealth.
“We must maintain law and order at the highest level, or we will cease to have a country-100 percent”, Trump said. “I can’t believe how divided people are”, said Betti Hill, a member of the state’s delegation to the Republican National Convention. “That’s because she’s been part of this rigged system for a long time”, Trump said.
The event began with remarks from New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, who is one of a handful of potential vice presidential contenders Trump is now vetting.
He asserted last fall, in initially proposing changes at the VA, that the current state of the department was “absolutely unacceptable”.

In the final days of his search for a vice presidential running mate, Trump was introduced at the event by Chris Christie, who is one of Trump’s top potential picks to be his vice presidential running mate.
